In this role, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Plumber III (Master Plumber). The Plumber II (Journeyman Plumber) is a licensed professional who independently performs skilled plumbing work including installation, repair, and maintenance of systems across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. This role bridges the gap between Level I (Apprentice Plumber) and Level III (Master Plumber), offering leadership in the field while gaining the advanced experience needed for future advancement. Essential Functions Installation and Maintenance: • Install, inspect, and maintain plumbing systems, fixtures, piping, and equipment. • Perform water line, drainage, vent, and gas system repairs and replacements. Troubleshooting and Diagnostics: • Diagnose plumbing issues, identify causes, and implement appropriate repair solutions. • Utilize diagnostic tools and interpret system schematics. Code Compliance and Safety: • Ensure compliance with local, state, and national plumbing codes and safety regulations. • Follow OSHA guidelines and maintain clean and safe job sites. Education and Experience • High school diploma or GED (required). • Completion of an accredited plumbing apprenticeship program. • Valid Journeyman Plumber License / Certification as required by state or local jurisdiction. • Typically requires 4,000-8,000 hours of documented experience as an apprentice. • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in the field post-apprenticeship. • Valid U.S. driver's license held ≥1 year; acceptable MVR in accordance with company policy. • Ability to pass background screening. • Able to acquire DOT Medical Card (company will assist if needed) Working Environment: • Both indoor and outdoor environments in various weather conditions. • Frequently involves standing, bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and confined space work. • Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, goggles, and hard hats required.
