Position Overview: Our Residential Plumbing Service Technician will repair and maintenance plumbing systems in residential properties. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring that homes have reliable and efficient plumbing systems, addressing issues promptly to prevent damage and inconvenience to homeowners. A Typical Day Looks Like: • Repairs: When there's a plumbing problem in a home, such as leaks, clogs, or broken fixtures, our service plumbers are called to diagnose and fix the issue. This can involve repairing or replacing damaged pipes, faucets, toilets, water heaters, or any other plumbing components. • Maintenance: Regular maintenance is essential to prevent major plumbing issues. Our service plumbers perform tasks like inspecting pipes for leaks, checking water pressure, cleaning drains, and flushing water heaters to remove sediment buildup. • Emergency Services: Plumbing emergencies can happen at any time, such as burst pipes or overflowing toilets. Responsibilities Responsible for installing and maintaining the gas, steam, water, air, heating, and waste disposal systems in the Medical Center and it's properties and ensures each system is in compliance with all requirements, codes, and regulations. • Assist other skilled trades and general maintenance personnel as assigned. In doing so, may assist with assembly of equipment. • Perform maintenance and repair functions. Ensure that the affected department is prepared for and is minimally inconvenienced by work performed. • Requisition all supplies, materials necessary to complete tasks. Estimate time and material cost for plumbing projects. May use a truck or other vehicles for acquiring items. • Perform preventative maintenance on a scheduled basis. Assist trade personnel and contractors as necessary to coordinate repairs to plumbing • Act as a resource for the Medical Center. Ensure that plumbing systems are adequate for stated needs and that all codes, requirements and regulation are strictly followed. Serve as a resource to others in the resolution of complex problems or issues. Pull State Plumbing Permits for the Medical Center. • Assist in the orientation and training of new employees.
