Position Summary Reporting directly to the Warehouse Manager, the Plumbing Warehouse Associate supports the plumbing department through job staging, materials replenishment, and vendor coordination. This role works closely with the dispatch/coordination team and the install and service departments to ensure materials and equipment are staged appropriately and ready for each job. This is a daily operational role in making sure technicians have what they need—whether from the shop or preferred supply houses—to keep jobs moving efficiently, cost-effectively, and safely. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Job Staging and Returns Assist in staging plumbing materials and equipment for install and service jobs, ensuring parts are pulled and prepped in advance. Serve as a support contact during morning dispatch, helping techs get out the door with what they need and reinforcing material readiness. Review job kits against purchase orders or pull sheets to confirm accuracy. • Help process returned materials from completed jobs, sorting usable items and staging for restock. Warehouse Support and Organization Unload vendor deliveries and incoming shipments; sort and organize materials in designated areas. Perform regular van inventory checks and restocking for plumbing trucks. Take out trash, break down boxes, and help maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment. Support tool organization, including shared tool check-in and check-out. • Assist other warehouse departments (HVAC, Electrical) as needed based on workload. Light Administrative Support Update material tracking sheets and inventory logs as needed. • Communicate with team leads if key materials are missing, damaged, or delayed. Inventory and Shop Materials Oversight Support tracking and organization of plumbing materials stored across shop areas, shelving, and storage containers. Oversee truck stock replenishment and press tray returns, helping ensure that field technicians follow procedures for returning unused or job-costed parts. • Assist with internal loaner tool check-out and return procedures, maintaining accountability and organization of shared gear. Ordering and Vendor Coordination Place and track purchase orders for truck stock, tools, and plumbing shop supplies using preferred vendors. Coordinate with vendors to source materials and specialty items for service and install jobs. Monitor backorders and communicate availability issues to the coordination team and field staff. • Support price comparisons and vendor selection to help ensure efficient and cost-effective material purchases.
