Marine Technician/Plumber

JOB DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE: Experienced Plumbing Technician and Plumbers • EMPLOYER: Engineered Yacht Solutions DEPARTMENT: Plumbing REPORTS TO: Project Manager Candidates must be residents; we do not relocate applicants. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Under the direction of the supervisor, clean up, and repair valves, actuators, and accessories • Identify needed parts and work with other departments to obtain them • Repair, assemble and test, and tag valves, actuators, and accessories using a variety of tools, measuring, and shop equipment. • Work will require Traveling to different shipyard areas. • Will require some Troubleshooting and repairing issues in the field. • Determine and discuss with the supervisor any potential process improvements. • Must have experience with valves or in residential or commercial plumbing. • Familiarity with the various piping and fitting – press fitting, pex, pvc, cpvc, copper, stainless. • Maintain the integrity of yacht interiors and exterior finish. • Over time, nights and weekend work may be required as customer service needs fluctuate. • Has the ability to read and interpret blueprints. • Planning/Organizing - Performs activities planned by others. • Dependability - Follows instructions, responds to management direction; Completes tasks on time or notifies appropriate person with an alternate plan. • Ability to use various hand tools such as band saws, drill presses, chop saws, and bench grinders. • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
