Job Duties and Responsibilities Key Responsibilities: • Performs general repairs to premises and building fixtures • Maintains and repairs general plumbing components to include toilets, urinals, faucets, hose bibs, drains, etc. • Installs, repairs, or replaces domestic hot and cold water lines • Repairs and replaces pneumatic steam valves, radiator valves, traps, steam and condensate pipes, domestic hot water heat pumps, chilled water pumps, sump pumps, and sewage pumps • Installs, tests, and repairs all sizes of backflow prevention devices • Leads troubleshooting efforts and repairs steam, water, and gas distribution systems • Interprets and applies mechanical and structural blueprints to plan plumbing repairs and modifications • Any other duties as required • Computer work, work orders request, time-sheet, emails • Report to supervisor of assignments for the day • Clean and inventory of supplies and tools • Inspection of equipment that needs PM for the day and get completed • Responsible for inventory of supplies used daily • Work with others on projects and Task • Any other duties assigned and required to complete Skills, Experience and Requirements Education and Experience: • A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) • 6 months of related experience • Masters Plumbers License in Colorado or reciprocating state • Good written and oral communication skills • Must have the ability to lift 40 lbs and sit or stand for a long periods of time Skills and Qualifications: • Able to follow instruction and lead others • Able to change and Adjust working hours as needed • Plumbing installation, maintenance, and repair skills • Knowledge of steam, water, and natural gas distribution systems maintenance and repair • Ability to lead others in troubleshooting and emergency repairs • Ability to develop and implement planned maintenance programs • Ability to read, understand, and follow safety procedures Visa sponsorship not available for this role Salary Ranges Compensation: $27.01/Hour - $38.70/Hour Benefits We offer versatile health perks, including flexible spending accounts, HSA, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, career opportunities, and a flexible time away plan; all benefits can be viewed here: DISH Benefits The base pay range shown is a guideline. This includes the repair, installation, and maintenance of building piping, utility infrastructure (domestic water, steam, gas, and sewer systems) and campus swimming pools and spas. Reporting to the Utility Operations Manager, this position supervises a team of Pipe/Mechanical Trades I and II personnel and plays a critical role in ensuring system reliability, safety and compliance with applicable codes and standards. This position assists in the preparation of budget requests for maintenance, water treatment and utilities infrastructure costs. It provides technical support as the campus Plumbing subject matter ex-pert for new construction, installation, maintenance, and repair of all plumbing/piping related matters as well as utility infrastructure projects. This position holds a State of Colorado Master Plumber license, The Colorado State Plumbing Contractors license for the campus. A Backflow Prevention Testing Certificate as well as a Certified Pool Operators permit must be obtained within 1 year of employment. Please note - this position is on campus Monday - Friday 6:30am - 3:00pm. Minimum Qualifications, Substitutions, Conditions of Employment & Appeal Rights Residency Requirement: This posting is only open to residents of the State of Colorado at the time of submitting your application.
