Own tools or work truck not required. Working interview of at least one day paid work will be required. Some days will be LONG, some will not. 40 hours is not guaranteed, but likely 40+ available Plumbing company seeking experienced plumber in the areas of service (repairs), water heaters, gas lines, clearing clogs, etc. Servicing Asheville to Hickory to Gastonia and all points south to the SC border, where we start each day at 8am - until completed. Will pay prospects 1-3 days (cash) to verify before long term hire. To be considered in the first round please have SOME PLUMBING EXPERIENCE Candidates must be professional, polite, with neat groomed appearance, have a drivers license with NO POINTS, and pass a drug test. THIS IS NOT NEGOTIABLE as we work with multiple home warranty companies that require these screenings. Experienced Plumber position: such that you can work independently : Pay range $20-$30 Depending on experience and performance, can be increased based on performance at any time, so can increase quickly. After 90 day probationary period you will receive a 5% pay raise! License not required. No guarantee of 40 hrs/wk however most weeks overtime and/or weekends will be offered if interested but not required. Steel toe shoes HIGHLY recommended. Uniform shirt and hat will be provided after first week. Direct deposit available. Paydays are weekly on Tuesday of the next week for the previous week. Major holidays paid 8 hours. Respect for customers and their situation and their property is paramount. We encounter them on a bad day and need to be mindful of that and compassionately and confidently help them. Regular Mon-Fri 8-6pm range, no forced on-call or weekend at this time, although overtime may be available Job details and requirements for experienced / independent plumber position: • Must have at least 2 years experience with plumbing install and service and can work on site independently. • Must have own hand tools - channel locks, hammer, wrench, tape measure, the basics, etc.. • can put you on <2 year track to becoming a licensed NC Plumber if not already licensed • perform installation of new plumbing, re-pipes, and re-models • $20-30/ hour depending on experience , performance • will entail working outdoors in heat or cold, may entail spending time in small crawl spaces or attics, climbing ladders, on roofs briefly , etc... • may require moving large heavy objects with the help of a hand truck or assistant. (water heaters, concrete riser, etc...) Necessary qualifications otherwise: clean neat appearance, drug-free, good with customers - friendly, sympathetic, calm, patient, honest. Mistakes happen 40 hours of PTO after 90 day probationary period.
