About the position The Pipe Fitter position at Aerotek involves working on various construction sites in and around Anderson, South Carolina, including locations in Powdersville, Piedmont, and Furman. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reading blueprints and leading a small crew of helpers. This role is crucial for ensuring that pipe fitting tasks are completed efficiently and accurately, contributing to the overall success of the construction projects. Candidates should be prepared to work Monday through Friday from 7 am to 5 pm, with a pay range of $28 to $30 per hour, depending on experience and skill level. The work environment requires adherence to safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as steel toe shoes, hi-vis shirts, hard hats, and eye protection. The position demands a strong understanding of pipe fitting, particularly with carbon pipe, and a minimum of four years of relevant experience is required.
