Pipefitter Pipe Welder

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Pipefitter/Pipe Welder to join our dynamic construction teams. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, installing, and maintaining piping systems across various projects, ensuring all work meets industry standards and safety regulations. Your expertise in welding and pipefitting will be essential in delivering high-quality results on time and within scope. Responsibilities • Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately assemble piping systems. • Perform welding using various techniques including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), ensuring compliance with ASME codes & standards. • Fit, cut, thread, solder, and bend pipes using hand tools, power tools, calipers, and pipe threading equipment to precise specifications. • Install HVAC piping, plumbing lines, and pipeline components on construction sites or manufacturing facilities. • Rigging and positioning pipes safely using rigging equipment while adhering to safety protocols. • Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs of piping systems to ensure optimal operation. • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues using schematic diagrams and mechanical knowledge; document work progress accurately. Skills • Proficiency in MIG welding, FCAW, TIG welding, and soldering techniques with a strong understanding of welding safety standards. • Experience fitting and installing fire sprinkler systems, HVAC piping, plumbing, and pipeline assemblies. • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and use measuring tools such as calipers for precise fabrication. • Mechanical knowledge of pipe threading, tube bending, rigging operations, and the use of hand tools and power tools. • Familiarity with ASME codes & standards applicable to piping systems; understanding of construction site safety protocols. • Skilled in basic math for measurements and calculations related to pipe fitting and fabrication tasks. • Knowledge of schematics for system assembly; experience working in manufacturing or construction environments preferred. • Capable of working at heights or in confined spaces while maintaining safety standards; experience with maintenance tasks is a plus. • Join us as a Pipefitter Pipe Welder where your expertise will directly contribute to building reliable piping infrastructure across diverse projects! Pipe Fitter/Welder job at Private - Located in the Greenville, SC area. Greenville, SC. Job Description Job Description Experience with installing threaded pipe is required with preference given to candidates that also have experience Stick/Tig welding pipe. Projects typically consist of installing 3" pipe and smaller. These projects are nationwide and each trip generally runs about 2 - 3 weeks, then home for 4 days or so before going back on the road. Mileage pay is given for travel and all work on site is hourly. A combination of mileage and hourly is typically 10 hours a day for 6 days a week as we have to take off 1 day a week to comply with DOT regulations. The crew consists of 3 people with and travels together in a company supplied vehicle. Will be traveling with the crew in a company supplied vehicle. Must have a valid driver’s license with clean driving record and able to pass a DOT physical. Company provides $50 per day in advance for meals and allows $110 per day for employees to have their own hotel rooms. Candidate must reside within 60 miles of Greenville, SC.
