Requisition ID: 170663 Position SummaryPlan, lay-out, install, test and repair all types of piping systems in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes and industry standards.Experience LevelSkilledPrimary Responsibilities and Duties Maintain working knowledge of various types of pipe and pipe systems, including butt welded, socket welded, threaded, Victaulic, grooved, glued and fused joints Reading isometric drawings, taking measurements, fabricating and installing piping efficiently Align, bolt, and clamp together components of fabricated metal products to secure in position for welding Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings, and related equipment according to specifications by welding and threading joints Position and secure materials and workpieces during installation; and install all other items in accordance with the applicable plans and specifications Distinguish varying thickness and types of metal materials Manually handle and securely apply rigging equipment Operate tools and equipment including: beveling machines, cut-off grinders, pipe threaders, hammers, torches, magnetic drills, and a Saw-Zall Layout and install equipment, vessels, skids, pumps, pipe, and supports Hydro test piping systems Estimating sizes, distances, and quantities; or determining time, costs, resources, or materials needed to perform a work activity. Inspect subordinate's work for compliance with the contract plans and specifications, point out deficiencies and explain and take any corrective action needed.Qualifications• May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or in a related area.• Must possess strong working knowledge skills and abilities for position.• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervision.• Proficient in the safe and efficient use of electrical, hand tools, power tools and layout tools as well as measurement toolsRequirements• Able to meet all physical requirements. • Must have all required tools• Expected to climb and work at heights and in confined spaces (may exceed 200 ft)• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions• Able to work overtime, nights, and weekends as required by the workload• Observe and comply with all safety and project rules. To apply for: Plumbing Service Technician@ Mark Carpenter Plumbing Click Below Position Purpose (Summary) The function of this position is to: • Provide service, repair, installation, and or propose replacement of plumbing components, accessories, and equipment. including but not limited to clogged drains, leaky pipes, toilets, faucets, water heaters, fixtures, valves, bath tubs, showers, water services, sewer mains, sump, ejector, and or effluent pumps, septic systems/fields, disposals, water purifiers, recirculation systems, etc. • Provides onsite a plumbing system diagnostic based upon the initial request and upon a full inspection of the property's plumbing system • Develop and present a complete set of recommendations and related pricing that addresses the initial call, corrects any deficiencies of the systems (undersize, code conflicts, part likely to fail, etc.) and improvement to the client comfort and lifestyle. • Performs repairs and installations with the related piping and electrical to meet or exceed the manufacturer's recommendations, local codes and customer's expectation. • Startup installed equipment and adjusts to the manufacturers and job specification. • Troubleshoot, adapt, and resolve/repair all issues that arise during an installation that would keep the equipment from functioning properly or the customer from being satisfied. • Communicate to the client the • Benefits of the recommendations • Risks involved in failing to perform specific repairs • Benefits of a service agreement • Communicate to the consumer on the proper operation and owner's maintenance of the installed equipment. Answer related questions as to operation, features, and functions to the homeowner. • Perform required documentation for each installation with a complete startup record. Have client sign necessary paper work and collect payments as directed. • Develop profitable sales and acquire customers through our established sales and marketing program. • Identify new business opportunities by performing direct sales activities and provide support to the administrative personnel as requested. • Develop self-generated leads through networking, data mining (from existing client records), and referral generation from previous clients. Plumbing Service Technician Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks • Customer service orientation. • Understand and properly use the Flat rate pricing system in making recommendations. • Determine customer satisfaction with follow ups on all installation/services sold. • Must have a good working knowledge of our products and services being offered.
