Day to day activities include conducting installations, operations, and maintenance of private and public groundwater treatment systems in the Lubbock, Texas area. The position is full-time. Preferred Lubbock area resident, however, will consider relocation for the right candidate. Essential Duties & Responsibilities The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties, but not all duties performed for this position. Other duties may be assigned. • Conduct installation and operations and maintenance of private and public drinking water well treatment systems • Conduct routine system inspections to include piping components, pressure gauges and flow totalizers, collect system samples, and inspect and change out sediment filters • Fill out accurate treatment system inspection forms • Assisting clients and others as the expert when working alongside subcontractors, homeowners, occupants, and other personnel that may be involved with projects • Continuing clear communications with clients and Project Manager regarding project status via email/phone Qualifications: To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The qualifications listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and Licensure Requirements: • Associates or High School Diploma with mechanical experience is required Required Skills: • 1-4 years of experience installing PVC water lines • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Logistics and scheduling • Comfortable speaking to the public and clients • Valid Driver’s License • Team oriented Highly Valued Skills: • General knowledge of residential drinking water well systems (well pumps, pressure tanks, etc.) • General plumbing knowledge • General construction knowledge • Ability to oversee subcontractors and fill out daily quantity verification sheets Additional Qualifying Factors: As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening (post accepted offer) and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations. Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining physical condition necessary for bending, stooping, sitting, walking or standing for prolonged periods of time; frequent opportunity to move about and to work outside the office environment for extended periods involving exposure to the elements with weather that will include extreme heat, cold, wind, rain or other inclement weather, walking over rough and uneven surfaces, and routine lifting of up to 35 pounds. If required, must properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times including but not limited to: hard hats, steel toed boots, eye protection, respiratory protection, and hearing protection. Must always maintain a constant state of mental alertness. Working Conditions Job is performed in a combination of office and outdoor site locations. The office setting includes exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse. Outdoor settings include walking, driving, and carrying supplies throughout all seasons with exposure to heat and cold conditions, and potentially wildlife. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and loud noise.
