Pipefitter Journeyman

Wood is searching for a Pipefitter Journeyman with experience in the oil and gas industry working near Jal, New Mexico. Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood is required. The individual must have the basic knowledge and skills to fabricate, install and assemble structural steel. • Accurately interpret and apply information from work orders, job orders, specifications, blueprints, ISOs, or other drawings and recognize basic blueprint terms and symbols for job application. Read structural drawings. • Identify, recognize, and demonstrate safe usage of power tools and hand tools appropriate for the job. • Recognize various materials used in piping systems and demonstrate a working knowledge of appropriate material handling techniques. • Select and safely use appropriate equipment which may include (but not limited to) manlifts, forklifts, and company trucks. • Demonstrates knowledge and skills in safe rigging practices. • Identify, explain, and perform crane hand signals. • Identify and recognize components of structural systems. • Demonstrate ability to accurately layout and fabricate structural iron. • Demonstrate ability to locate and mark reference points for structural components on foundation using master straightedge, square, transit, builder’s levels and measuring tape. • Alight structure or plates to be assembled on boiler frames, tanks, or structures, using plumb bobs, wedges, dogs, or turnbuckles. • Demonstrate appropriate techniques in handling sections or structural parts in order to facilitate fitting edges together. • Bolt or weld equipment sections using approved materials and procedures such as stacks, chutes, ladders, catwalks, etc. • 1- 2 years of Journeyman experience. • Should have at least 2 - 3 years as an apprentice/helper in one of the mechanical areas such as Ironworker, Boilermaker, Pipefitter-Bolt Up, Pipefitter Fabricator or Welding. • Should have at least 1 - 2 years as a journeyman as an Ironworker. • Experience in one of the mechanical areas such as Ironworker, Boilermaker, Pipefitter-Bolt Up, Pipefitter Fabricator or Welding field a plus. • Must possess an NCCER certification card or successfully pass an in-house craft assessment. • Must be able to work in team environment. • Must have a minimum of 1-year experience working in an industrial environment. • Should any steel member require cutting and welding in the field, the employee who is to perf • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, background test and fit test Wood is a global leader in consulting and engineering, helping to unlock solutions to critical challenges in energy and materials markets. Pipefitter Helper

Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood is required. • Lays out, fabricates, assembles, installs and maintains piping systems, pipe supports, fixtures, and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment for steam, hot water fixtures and equipment for steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkling and industrial production and processing systems. Summary Maintain and protect the integrity and safety of the pipeline and pump stations, by repairing and maintaining facilities in a safe and cost-efficient manner in accordance with Company policies and procedures and government regulations, while placing special emphasis on supporting the following Core Values: Unmatched Excellence in Customer Service; Being a Flexible, Innovative and Dedicated Employee; Honest and Ethical Behavior; Wise and Productive Use of All Resources; and Safety in All We Do. Job Tasks • Maintain and repair pipeline facilities. Requires driving long distances on an everyday basis frequently encountering inclement weather and adverse conditions. Equips, maintains, and performs minor repairs on vehicles. • Maintains and protects the integrity and safety of the pipeline and pump stations. Requires testing and DOT certification to perform operations and maintenance of pipeline facilities. • Assists in replacement or repair of damaged pipeline in accordance with company policies and procedures and government regulations regarding pipeline replacement. May require the operation of heavy equipment. • Assists in making minor repairs to the corrosion protection system, which occur during regular maintenance and construction of the pipeline and pump stations. • Visually inspects pipeline system and third party encroachments to identify conditions, which, may cause damage to the system or might cause emergency situations. Takes pro-active appropriate preventative or corrective actions. • Ensures proper security, operation, maintenance, or replacement of valves in compliance with Company policies and procedures and Department of Transportation regulations. • Assists technicians on major repairs and new construction. • Maintains good site appearance and a safe working environment at pump stations and along rights-of-way. • As a member of the Spill Response Team promptly and effectively responds to a notice of emergency, such as an emergency shut-down or pressure reduction, to minimize the volume of hazardous material released from any section of the pipeline system. Assists at an accident scene, while minimizing public exposure and ensuring the safety of personnel present. Knowledge of appropriate actions or steps to take in the event of an emergency is required. • Acts as a relief Operator as needed.
