Job Description We are looking for an experienced Masonry Estimator with 5+ years of experience in estimating masonry work on large commercial projects. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in providing accurate cost estimates, preparing bid proposals, and working closely with project managers and teams to ensure the successful delivery of masonry components on large-scale commercial construction projects. Proficiency with Tradesman's Software is a must for this position. Key Responsibilities: • Masonry Estimation: Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for masonry work on large commercial projects, including material costs, labor, and equipment. • Bid Preparation: Develop comprehensive bid proposals for masonry contracts, working with internal teams to compile all necessary documentation and calculations. • Project Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, architects, and general contractors to review project specifications, blueprints, and requirements for accurate estimating. • Cost Analysis: Conduct detailed cost analysis and feasibility studies, identifying potential cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality. • Takeoffs and Quantification: Perform accurate material takeoffs and quantification for masonry scopes of work. • Subcontractor and Vendor Coordination: Work closely with subcontractors and suppliers to gather quotes and ensure the most competitive pricing for materials and labor. • Contract Review: Assist in reviewing and negotiating contract terms, including scope, pricing, and change orders. • Software Proficiency: Use Tradesman’s Software to develop estimates, track project progress, and maintain accurate cost data and records. • Budget Monitoring: Support project managers in tracking the budget and costs throughout the project lifecycle to ensure the project stays within budget. • Client Interaction: Provide expert guidance and support to clients, answering questions and addressing any concerns related to estimates or masonry work. Qualifications: • 5+ years of experience in estimating masonry work on large commercial projects. • Proficiency in using Tradesman’s Software for masonry estimating is preferred. • Strong knowledge of masonry materials, techniques, and building codes for commercial construction projects. • Experience with material takeoffs, bid preparation, and cost analysis. • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, blueprints, and project specifications. • Strong communication and negotiation skills. • Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously. • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in all estimates. • Knowledge of commercial construction project lifecycle and processes. • A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is a plus, but not required.
