The ideal candidate will assist masons in performing various tasks related to brick, block, and stone laying, ensuring the worksite is properly organized and safe. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. Key Responsibilities: • Assist masons with the preparation of materials, tools, and equipment for construction projects. • Mix and prepare mortar and other substances according to the specifications of the job. • Load and unload materials such as bricks, blocks, stones, and cement from delivery trucks. • Carry and distribute building materials to the appropriate areas of the job site. • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by removing debris and ensuring safety protocols are followed. • Help set up scaffolding and other temporary structures when needed. • Clean and maintain tools and equipment used in masonry tasks. • Assist in the measuring, cutting, and placing of materials. • Follow all safety procedures and regulations on the worksite to prevent accidents and injuries. • Perform other related duties as needed to support the masonry team. Qualifications: • Prior experience in construction or masonry is a plus, but not required. • Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physical labor for extended periods. • Basic knowledge of masonry materials and tools is preferred. • Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail. • Ability to work in a team environment and follow instructions. • Willingness to learn and adapt to different masonry techniques and practices.
