They will use wire clamps, anchor holes, torch, or cement to fasten material to structure. Position requires construction of corners by fastening in plumb position a corner pole or building a corner pyramid of bricks, and filling in between the corners using a line from corner to corner to guide each course or layer of brick or block. Applicants will mix sand, clay, dirt, grout or mortar material and will apply and smooth mixture over work surface. Applicants will clean excess mortar and grout from surfaces using sponges, brushes, water, and masonry detergent. Applicants will remove materials from trucks and guide to foundation using skids, hoist, truck crane, or other moving/lifting equipment. They will also repair cracked or chipped areas of stone, brick, or marble using power grinders, chisels, and hammers.
