Job Title: Carpenter Foreman Job Description We are seeking a skilled Carpenter Foreman to oversee and perform self-perform services on assigned projects. This role involves managing various carpentry tasks, including selective demolition, rough and finish carpentry, and specialty installations in diverse industries such as healthcare, retail, and manufacturing. Responsibilities • Provide self-perform services on assigned projects, including selective demolition, progress clean-up, rough and finish carpentry, casework installation, commercial door/hardware installation, patching/finishing/painting, miscellaneous flooring and vinyl base patching, specialties installation, and suspended ceiling grid/tile (ACT) installation. • Quantify, order, and track materials required for project-specific duties, returning unused materials when possible, or storing them for future use. • Quantify, order, and track company-owned and/or rental equipment for project-specific duties, returning equipment off-site to prevent storage of unused equipment on-site. • Review and understand the contract scope-of-work for each assigned project, reporting change orders in real-time to the assigned Project Manager. • Review project self-perform budgets with the assigned Project Manager and/or Superintendent, tracking self-perform labor against the project budget in real-time throughout each project. • Review and understand the project schedule for each assigned project, assisting in the procurement of project-specific building permits when necessary. Essential Skills • 3 to 5 years of carpentry experience on light-commercial and commercial projects. • Safety-First mentality with OSHA 10 (OSHA 30 preferred), Forklift Certification, and Scaffold Certification. • Proficiency in reading and understanding project plans, specifications, and shop drawings. • Base understanding of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection (MEPFP) systems. • Excellent organizational skills and effective verbal and written communication skills. • Proficient problem-solving skills. • Self-starting leader of on-site self-perform crews and subcontracted vendors.
