Concrete Laborer: Laborers are the backbone of our crew, playing a crucial role in the safe and efficient completion of underground utility construction projects. This position involves physically demanding work in an outdoor construction setting, where you will work collaboratively with a team to achieve project goals. What Do You Offer Us: • Assisting with loading materials and equipment, ensuring proper handling and safety. • Digging trenches using hand tools or heavy equipment to prepare for the installation or repair of utility lines. • Utilizing hand tools to dig near existing underground utilities with precision and care. • Preparing equipment for the job by conducting pre-trip inspections prior to mobilizing to the job site. • Assisting in securing the work site, equipment, and materials at the end of each shift. • Assisting in the installation of pipes, conduits, or cables for utilities such as water, sewer, gas, or electrical lines. • Refilling and compacting trenches after utility installation to restore the ground surface. • Loading, unloading, and transporting materials/equipment to and from the work site. • Supporting skilled workers, such as plumbers, electricians, or technicians, in their tasks related to utility systems. • Participating in routine maintenance activities and repairs of utility systems to ensure their proper functioning. • Setting up traffic control devices and signs to ensure the safety of workers and the public in and around work zones. • Responding to emergency situations, such as utility line breaks, and assisting in the repair or containment of issues. • All other duties as assigned.
