POSITION SUMMARY This position is responsible for field management (schedule and budget) for multiple fiber network construction projects. Candidates should have hands-on experience building out fiber networks at scale, ideally including fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) networks. Includes field oversight of OSP construction firms, and rapid resolution of roadblocks. Reports to Project Manager. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Manage OSP engineering and construction vendors at a tactical project level, including determination of aerial vs. UG approach at segment level, and approval of handhole and drop locations. • Conduct field inspections to ensure quality assurance on specific projects as assigned. • Ensure vendor compliance with OSP engineering & construction standards. • Facilitate project progress with materials and labor/expertise when warranted. • Manage emergency maintenance activities. • Hire, train and manage in-house construction personnel.
