Read More ∨ REPORTS TO: Worksite Supervisor SUPERVISES: Youth Trainees QUALIFICATIONS: • Five years verifiable hands-on construction experience/General Carpentry. • High School diploma or GED. • Must be able to relate to youth and minority groups and work well in a team setting. • Must comply with training and certification requirements of licensing and regulatory agencies. (First Aid and Restraint Training, etc.) • Must pass criminal history check. • Have the ability to read blue prints. • Ability to safely use and supervise the use of hand and power tools. • The ability to lead trainee crews and supervise the Center work projects both on and off campus from start up to the completion of projects. SPECIFIC DUTIES: • The ability to examine blueprints to determine dimensions of structure. • The ability to determine sequence of activities concerned with fabrication, assembly and erection of the structure. • The ability to assign and supervise trainees to such tasks as cutting metal to size, building forms, erecting framework, roofing, wiring and pipe installation. • The ability to inspect work to insure conformance to specifications. • The ability to assist in the transportation of the work crew to the job site. • The ability to perform other duties as assigned.
