Machine Operator II

Description OVERVIEW Cadrex is searching for a Machine Operator II to operate machines according to program and product specifications to produce small to medium sized components either as a finished product or as part of another larger product to be assembled. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Operates CNC machines to produce production parts and assemblies • Operates manual machines such as saws, mills, and lathes • Positions parts in specified locations using a variety of fastening devices • Operates hand-held tools, electrical tools, and/or pneumatic tools • Operates lift equipment as needed • Uses precision measuring tools as required • Ability to recognize various material types used in department and adjust equipment if needed • Ability to recognize worn tooling and change in machine as required • Verifies accuracy of completed product or batch inspections • Reports defective materials, discrepancies, process malfunctions or completed products that are not in compliance with company and/or customer specifications to the Department Lead • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations • Completes all necessary paperwork as required, including in process or carbon copy production sheets PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS • 2+ years of experience required in lieu of degree/certification • Produce a high-quality product according to required specifications on a consistent basis • Produce the required quantity of product according to required output specifications • Understand the machine operation process and the movement of completed components • Use computers as required • Use measuring tools as required • Read and understand blueprints • Complete necessary paperwork accurately and timely • Operate all hand tools, machines and equipment successfully as required and with minimal supervision • Work as a productive team member who contributes to the organization's success • Handle fast-paced work • Demonstrate the ability to take initiative to see tasks that are needed and complete them without being instructed to do so by supervisors or lead personnel • Demonstrate dependability with good attendance EDUCATION • High school diploma LOCATION • Onsite SCHEDULE • M-F TOTAL COMPENSATION INCLUDES • Health/dental/vision coverage • Employer-paid and supplemental life insurance • Short- and long-term disability insurance • Generous paid time off and holiday pay • Monthly remote work stipend (for remote employees who qualify) • 401(k) investment plan, with an employer match of up to 4% • Education support program • Safety eyeglasses/shoe reimbursement • Referral bonuses • Bonus plan for all full-time employees WORK ENVIRONMENT • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and vibration. CNC Swiss Set-up Operator II - 1st Shift

Description OVERVIEW Cadrex is searching for CNC Swiss Set Up Operator II with prior experience working with Swiss Style CNC turning platforms. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you’ll utilize your expertise to set up, operate, and troubleshoot machining operations for a wide variety of parts on our Swiss CNC turning equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, attention to detail, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality machined parts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Set up and operate CNC Swiss machines for production runs, including selecting tooling, loading materials, and securing work pieces • Interpret engineering drawings, models, and specifications to develop CNC programs for Swiss machining operations • Program CNC Swiss machines using CAM software (e.g., Esprit, Part Maker) or manual programming techniques to generate toolpaths and machining sequences • Conduct test runs and verify program accuracy by performing trial cuts and measurements on sample work pieces • Monitor machining processes and make adjustments as needed to ensure quality, accuracy, and adherence to production schedules • Troubleshoot machining issues and resolve problems related to tooling, equipment, or programming • Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality control teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization • Train and mentor junior CNC operators on setup and operation techniques for Swiss machines • Perform routine maintenance on CNC Swiss machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn or damaged components • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times, including proper handling and operation of CNC machines and equipment PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS • 3+ years of experience setting up and operating CNC Swiss machines in a manufacturing environment preferred • Proficiency in CNC programming languages, such as G-code and M-code, and experience with CAM software • Strong knowledge of Swiss machining processes, tooling, materials, and tolerances • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, models, and technical specifications • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot machining issues and optimize CNC programs • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision and accuracy • Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams • Commitment to safety and adherence to company policies and procedures EDUCATION • 2-year technical certification or equivalent experience preferred.
