CNC Programmer

Job Position Summary: The CNC programmer is responsible for 3-5 axis mills, 2D, 3D, surface milling. Supporting the shop flood, documentation control, monitoring parts, and communicating with team members Primary Responsibilities: • Offline CNC programming for 3-5 axis mills. 2D and 3D surface milling is required • Offline CNC programming for Lathes • Support shop floor setups and knowledge transfer • Create documentation for the shop floor including tooling lists and setup sheets • Document standard machining and CNC setup practices • Design work-holding fixtures • Translate CAD files • Monitor and inspect parts throughout process. • Maintain clean and safe working environment. • Observe MCT quality and safety procedures. • May provide training to other team members. • Communicates and collaborates with team members in the sharing of information and solving technical issues Requirements: • High School Diploma or General Education (GED) required. • Demonstrated ability to program using CAD/CAM software, Vero SURFCAM or Autodesk Powermill experience is preferred • The ability to read blueprints and execute shop math. • Complete work in an accurate and timely manner. • Ability to work weekends and overtime as required. • Proficient understanding of G-code • Proficient understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Strong work ethic and high attention to detail • Flexible, ability to work in a fast-pace team environment • Able to manage sensitive and sometimes confidential information • Self-motivated and able to take responsibility • Must read and write English Knowledge, Skills & Abilities • Associate degree in a relevant field and/or other technical certification or equivalent experience. • 2-5 years minimum experience in Robot CNC programming • Ability to program mill-turn or live spindle lathes • Proficiency with Vector mathematics • Ability to edit and create CAM Post Processors What we offer: Health Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision coverage. CNC Machinist

We want YOU to join our team in Round Rock as a CNC Machinist. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with CNC Machining AND complex set-ups for a variety of different parts (prototypes are primary parts being manufactured). • **Experience with complex machine set-ups REQUIRED*** CNC Machinists use CNC machine tools such as lathes or mills to fabricate parts from a variety of raw materials safely and efficiently. You should be proficient in machine setup and troubleshooting. You will provide assistance to the operators, machinists, and quality engineers for line-side inspection of CNC machined components, as well as in-process inspection, final inspections, and first article inspections. Qualifications Ability to use calipers, micrometers, edge finders, and other measuring equipment Ability to correctly read and interpret engineering drawings and able to perform dimensional & physical inspection of mechanical parts. Analytical, problem-solving, and mechanical skills are required Experience in machining and an understanding of the physical characteristics of different materials Ability to read blueprints and compare them to parts Experience and proficiency in machine setup with minimal guidance Responsibilities Operate CNC mills and lathes. Red blueprints to determine product specifications. Takes precise measurements for cutting or shaping Ability to validate and verify tight tolerances Modify and navigate programs related to machining Adhere to all safety protocols, company policies, and ethical expectations Own quality precision measuring tools (calipers, edge finder, micrometer, etc.) Physical Requirements: Need to be available for overtime if the production schedule requires (Fridays) Be able to stand for long periods of time.
