Job Description: CNC Lathe and/or Milling Set Up & Operator Machinist We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CNC Machinist to join our team. You will work with cutting-edge CNC machinery and equipment to manufacture gears based on engineering specifications and customer requirements. Job Duties & Responsibilities: • Operate and set up CNC Lathe and/ or Mill Machines. (FANUC control) • Follow work order instructions, set up fixtures, work zero coordinates (G54, G55…). • Setting up tool offsets (H offset, and D offsets). • Read mechanical drawings and understand very tight tolerances. • Measure all parts using the adequate instruments (calipers, micrometers, height gages, etc.). • Apply safe manufacturing practices and use proper personal protective equipment e.g., safety glasses, safety shoes, and hearing protection (as needed). • Adhere to the company's AS9100 quality standards and established processes. • Perform additional duties as assigned. Job Requirements: • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a machine tool occupation. • Ability to setup/run lathes, mill machines, and various machine shop tools. • Ability to read blue prints and use precise measuring tools. • Ability to interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T). • Minimum high school diploma is required. College course work or trade school training preferred. • Must have strong attention to detail, and high level of accuracy in work product. • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, sit, reach, stoop, crouch, climb, balance, feel, and communicate. This position will be regularly exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes, and noise. Must be able to frequently lift, pull, push objects that weight up to 30 pounds.
