We are seeking a career-minded individual for the position of CNC Machinist, preferably someone who is looking for long-term growth and potential. In addition to the job description below, candidates must possess strong customer service skills, an eye for detail, and the ability to multi- task at a quick pace. Being a team player is a must! SUMMARY: Plans and lays out complex machining operations; ability to work with cad software for complex machining programs in an effective manner, fabricates and assembles various types and sizes of product parts, tooling, and assemblies strong work holding knowledge. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Produce machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a 3, 4, and 5 axis computer numerical control (CNC) machine • Maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies • Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T) • Programs mills and lathes by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs • Sets-up mills and lathes by installing and adjusting three- and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers; indicating vices; trimming heads • Assist in other tasks as required QUALIFICATIONS: • Strong knowledge in Programming (G&M code) and Fixture design • High school diploma or equivalent • Minimum 4 years of related experience • Knowledge of Manual machining preferred • Experienced in Nickel-Based alloys Machining a plus • Knowledge of proper use of cutting tools • Must be a highly motivated self-starter that can identify potential problems and collaborate with management to take action • Must possess willingness to assist where needed to ensure the company meets its goals and objectives on time • Must possess time management skills • Willing to learn and apply new skills • Good written and oral communication skills • Ability to balance multiple tasks simultaneously and effectively • Demonstrated ability to work well with cross-functional groups • Self-motivated, able to multi-task, and detail oriented • Strong organizational, problem-solving and decision-making skills Background checks and Drug Screenings will be completed on all candidates considered for hire.
