Essential Responsibilities • Work from process instruction sheets, drawings, and technical documents to ensure product quality. • Utilize general and specialized knowledge to perform tasks that meet all quality assurance standards. • Measure work using scales, micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, surface plates, and surface testers. • Ensure smooth product flow in the repair process. • Set up, adjust, verify programming, and operate CNC machines to perform complex operations on a diverse line of work. • Maintain close tolerances and surface finishes as required. • Operate CNC machines of various types and brands. • Maintain a clean work area and assist in department housekeeping efforts. • Adhere to all safety procedures, including lock-out/tag-out, reporting safety concerns, using appropriate PPE, and following all safety practices. • Assist in training new associates. Qualifications/Requirements • High School Diploma or GED. • 18 months of CNC machining experience or a minimum of 24 college credit hours in Precision Manufacturing Technology. • Willing and able to work overtime and any shift. • Ability to read, write, and speak English; interpret and follow written procedures (e.g., Aviation Work Instructions), complete documentation (e.g., routers), and follow verbal instructions. • Proficiency in using measuring instruments such as scales, micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, surface plates, and surface testers. Desired Characteristics • Associate’s degree in CNC Machining or a 2-year certificate in CNC operations. • Proven experience and willingness to be self-directed and identify process improvements. • Ability and willingness to work effectively in a team setting. • Commitment to following and promoting safe work practices. • Effective communication skills.
