POSITION SUMMARY The Machinist will support the manufacturing stamping operations by setting up, operating, and maintaining stamping presses, tooling, and related equipment. This role ensures production runs efficiently, safely, and with high-quality output. The machinist will be responsible for precision adjustments, tooling changes, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Set up and operate stamping presses and related machinery according to specifications. • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions. • Install, align, and adjust dies, punches, and other tooling for stamping operations. • Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other instruments. • Monitor equipment during production to detect and correct malfunctions. • Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs on stamping machines and tooling. • Troubleshoot stamping defects and adjust tooling or machine settings as necessary. • Maintain accurate production records and follow established quality control procedures. • Ensure compliance with safety guidelines and company policies. • Collaborate with engineers, toolmakers, and production staff to improve processes. QUALIFICATIONS • High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training preferred. • 2+ years of experience as a machinist, preferably in a stamping or metal forming environment. • Strong knowledge of stamping presses, dies, and tooling setup. • Proficient in using precision measuring instruments. • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints. • Basic knowledge of machine maintenance and troubleshooting. • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and mechanical aptitude. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS • Ability to stand for extended periods. • Lift and move materials or tooling up to 50 lbs. • Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination. • Ability to work in a loud, industrial environment with proper PPE. Must possess a valid Driver’s License and a safe driving record. • LANGUAGE/MATHEMATICAL SKILLS & REASONING ABILITY Must be able to use written and verbal communications in English language. • REASONING ABILITY & PHYSICAL DEMANDS • Ability to work aloft. • Must have manual dexterity and the ability to utilize various hand tools and test equipment. • Must be able to drive a truck or van including a truck/van with an aerial lift • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. • Must be able to type on a computer, and utilize a smart phone to read and update prints. • Must be able to kneel, crawl, push, pull, bend, stoop, lift and dig. • Must meet and maintain Company’s safe weight policy.
