CNC Machinist

Responsibilities: • Under the direction of a supervisor and/ or experienced machinist, responsible for the output of quality parts produced on CNC lathes in a safe and timely manner. • Load parts utilizing overhead lifting equipment or material transfer/ loader best suited for the job. • Use fixtures to locate part into position and make correct offsets to machine. • Confirm setup is correct, then starts and observes machine operation to detect possible malfunction prior to machine run. • Read and understand blue print and supporting documents to know and understand part dimensions and tolerance requirements prior to running part. Adjust machine offset if needed to ensure part is in tolerance. • Ensure tooling and fixture at machine is maintained and stored in orderly fashion. Keep machine and work area clean and orderly and perform basic preventative maintenance function on equipment. • Perform other work related task as assigned. • Comply with all NOV Company, HSE and QTS policies and procedures. Qualifications/Requirements: • High school diploma or equivalent. • Previous experience in manufacturing environment considered an asset. • Previous experience in oilfield considered an asset. • Basic Math (Add, Subtract, Multiply, Divide, Fractions). Shop Machinist

Description: We are looking for an experienced Machinist to join our team in a fast-paced machining service. The Machinist will be responsible for producing high-quality machined parts to strict tolerances and specifications while maintaining a safe and organized working environment. Responsibilities: • Determine work procedures, machine tools, equipment, and attachments to be used for assigned work. • Utilize strong analytical and mathematical skills to perform accurate calculations and measurements. • Demonstrate strong attention to detail in all aspects of the job • Use precision measuring instruments and equipment such as Vernier calipers, height gauges, inside, outside, and depth micrometers, parallels, gage blocks, dial indicators, and surface gages to attain accurate dimensions and maintain tolerances • Set up and operate machines, including but not limited to, lathes, vertical turret lathes, horizontal boring mills, and Bridgeport knee mills • Read and understand prints, and apply knowledge of concentricity, parallelism, surface finish, and tolerances in both imperial and metric units to ensure accurate production of parts • Work in around production machinery with extreme noise levels • Wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection • Maintain focus and multitask effectively • Communicate effectively with team members and management. CNC Machinst

Description: Job Summary: Seeking a highly motivated person with a strong work ethic and ability to bring alternative technical solutions to join our team of machinists. Training will be provided as needed. The primary responsibilities of this role will be: • Operate Manuel and/or CNC Lathes, mills and grinding equipment • Machine shop math, blueprint reading, set-up and tool selection, some Machine shop floor programming • Work alongside teammates (welders, machinists, engineers) to develop or optimize machining processes • Develop and improve fixturing, and tooling • Participate in meetings and promote general job safety • General maintenance checks on machines • Inspect and measure major dimensions of parts on a minimum of every 5th piece of each lot machined • Perform First Article Inspection on all production orders • Complete daily log of jobs • Maintain an organized and clean work environment • Select, install, and adjust correct tooling and program to run parts • Perform turning, milling, drilling, tapping, and deburring operations Requirements: Qualifications: Must be an ambitious person willing to learn and grow within our organization • Highly motivated team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic • High degree of ownership and willingness to learn • High level of problem solving ability – desire to improve current processes working with programmers and complementing machinists • Five years’ machining experience preferred • Able to operate multiple machines, high multi-tasking skills • Operate Horizontal Boring mills • Knowledge of bore gauges, micrometers and various measuring equipment • Knowledge of basic math skills • Basic machinist hand tools, wrenches and measuring equipment • Mechanically inclined • Technical competency • Time management skills • Authorized to work in the United States • Pass drug screen and background check • Ability to stand for long periods of time, bend, twist and reach • Regularly lift 50 pounds Work Environment: • General manufacturing environment • Exposure to different types of chemicals, acids, fumes, etc. • Moving mechanical parts and vibration
