Job Summary: The Fleet Manager/Machinist will play a vital role in the successful execution of construction projects at ARIVA Homes, leveraging skills and experience to contribute to the team's overall success. Responsibilities • Ensure regular inspection, servicing, and repair of fleet vehicles and machinery • Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of tools and equipment, including cleaning, lubricating, and reporting any malfunctions or damage to the appropriate personnel • Make certain all vehicles and machinery comply with safety regulations and standards • Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules. • Manage and maintain budgets for fleet maintenance and repairs, including inventory of parts • Work closely with vendors and contractors to ensure quality and timely servicing • Implement measures to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs • Prepare and present management reports on fleet status and performance • Perform a wide range of physical tasks, including loading/unloading materials, digging trenches, operating machinery, and assisting with construction activities as directed • Keep the construction site clean and organized, including clearing debris, sweeping, and ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored at the end of each day • Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to prevent accidents and maintain a safe work environment for all workers on the job site Minimum Qualifications • High School diploma or equivalent • Degree in construction preferred • Hands-on experience in fleet management and machine repair • Organized work approach with the ability to adapt and adjust as required to support the projects’ current needs • Excellent listening and strong communication skills • Ability to identify and resolve complex issues • Ability to manage schedules, budgets, and team coordination Working Conditions: • Occasional weekend or after-hours work may be required • May occasionally be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and extreme heat • Work may require frequent site visits to properties
