CNC Machinist

Located in Laramie, WY Avvid Corporation is currently hiring full-time CNC Machinists. We are a growing, advanced manufacturing organization with a great work culture and advancement opportunities. • *DETAILS** The CNC Machinist is a full-time position working in the Production Department and Precision Machining Process in Avvid Corporation. Machinists are expected to maintain the quality of produced parts, safety standards, accurate production records, and Avvid equipment. Other possible tasks for this role are managing incoming materials, improving the efficiency of and support of the production process, and movement of outgoing materials. Individuals who are motivated, diligent, productive, reliable, inventive, self-motivated, patient, continually learning, problem solvers, organized, cooperative, flexible, and positive will excel in this role. • *PRIMARY PRODUCTION FUNCTIONS** • Secure and align workpieces with fixtures on machines, using stops and vices • Use hand tools and measuring equipment and return hand tools back to proper location. • De-bur parts and sharp edges correctly to measure parts correctly. • Monitor machine operation, control panel displays and compare readings to specifications to detect malfunctions. • Measure dimensions of finished workpieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures. • Read blueprint drawings and extract appropriate specifications and tolerances. • Monitor and maintain machine fluid levels -- way lube, coolant, hydraulic oil, etc. • Read work orders, pick tickets, routings, schedules, material labels, part drawings, and inspection data records • Coordinate with Production Manager to prioritize and schedule work orders to meet deadlines. • Maintain a clean and safe working area • Assist production staff with machinery setup and changeover by gathering and preparing tools and materials required by work order, removing and cleaning tooling Identify and resolve problems concerning equipment and materials • Cut, label, and organize raw material for upcoming jobs • *GENERAL** • Follow Standard Operating Procedures • Operate forklift and other equipment • Complete daily assigned tasks to meet production volume and schedule • Attend job trainings related to production and machinery for professional growth • Participate in Operations Meetings and Continuous Improvement initiatives • Work safely and maintain a professional working culture • *QUALIFICATIONS** • Experience with common measuring tools • Reliable transportation • Ability to lift 50 pounds • Ability to load, unload, and run equipment • Willingness to learn • *SKILLS** • Attention to detail • Self-starter with a mechanical inclination • Ability to switch between tasks as new priorities arise • Strong verbal communication skills • Willingness to work • Measuring Tools knowledge -- Calipers, Micrometers, Depth-Gauges, Dial indicators, Gauge Pins, and gauge blocks

Computer Numerical Control(CNC) Programmer

Job Role : Computer Numerical Control(CNC) Programmer Location : Laramie, WY Duration : Fulltime/Direct Hire Role Description: This is a full-time on-site role for a Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Programmer who does not just want to do programming but wants to help our CNC production operators in improving processes and skill sets. The CNC Programmer will be responsible for technical drawing, CNC programming, machining, milling, and programming tasks to support the production. The role will involve working closely with the engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure efficient and accurate production processes.
