HIVIZ, LLC seeks a CNC Operator to fill a vacancy in our manufacturing shop for the night shift. Currently our night shift is running a 4-10 shift, Monday-Thursday from 4 PM to 2:30 AM with some overtime required. We are willing to train but the right candidate, but you must be a team player who has excellent mechanical aptitude. There is a shift premium of +$.50/hour added to your base pay for night shift hours worked. The CNC Operator will be responsible for operating the CNC milling machine to produce the products manufactured in our facility. This is a full-time, benefited position, 40 hours per week with some overtime required. Pay raises occur at 6 months, and at 1-3 year anniversaries. This position also has the ability to move up through a level system as competence increases, which also comes with pay raises. Essential Functions • Produce machined parts using a CNC milling machine, including set-up and operation • Heavy focus on professionalism and teamwork • Understanding of speeds and feeds • Perform bench-work finishing • Stand for extended periods of time and work with small parts • Follow both written and verbal work instructions, use approved gauges and tools to inspect parts to determine required material • Operate tool room equipment if needed • Willingness to learn new techniques and improve processes with team members, as well as communicate effectively Competencies • Mechanically Inclined • Results Driven • Attention to Detail • Effective Time Management • Teamwork Experience: Candidates on the upper end of the pay scale will have experience operating a CNC Milling Machine in a manufacturing shop. This position must be able stand for extended periods of time and work with their hands manipulating small parts. Desired skills would include: Ability to interpret blueprints correctly; efficient use of Measuring tools (Caliper, Micrometer, Optical Comparator, gauge pins etc.); and ability to set-up CNC milling machines. Our perfect candidate would also have experience with a horizontal machining center, experience operating Okuma mills, 5 axis machine experience, and programming experience. Must pass a background check and drug test as a condition of employment.
