HIVIZ Shooting Systems seeks a CNC Operator to fill a vacancy in our manufacturing shop for the second shift/night shift. Currently our night shift is running a 4-10 shift, Monday-Thursday from 4 PM to 2:30 AM with some overtime required. We are willing to train the right candidate and you can learn a valuable trade while getting paid! You must be a team player who has excellent mechanical aptitude. The base pay is $18/hour, and you earn +$1/hour shift premium for working the above mentioned hours. The CNC Operator will be responsible for operating the CNC milling machine to produce the products manufactured in our facility. This is a full-time, benefited position. Essential Functions • Produce machined parts using a CNC milling machine, including set-up and operation • Heavy focus on professionalism and teamwork • Understanding of speeds and feeds • Perform bench-work finishing • Stand for extended periods of time and work with small parts • Follow both written and verbal work instructions, use approved gauges and tools to inspect parts to determine required material • Willingness to learn new techniques and improve processes with team members • Communicate effectively Competencies • Mechanically Inclined • Results Driven • Attention to Detail • Effective Time Management • Teamwork Experience/Requirements: We are willing to train the right person as mentioned above. This position must be able stand for extended periods of time and work with their hands manipulating small parts. Visual acuity must include near vision, as well as depth perception and peripheral vision . Desired skills would include: Ability to interpret blueprints correctly; efficient use of Measuring tools (Caliper, Micrometer, Optical Comparator, gauge pins etc.); and experience setting up CNC milling machines. Must pass a background check and drug test as a condition of employment.
