Shift: The regular hours for this position are day shift. Job Description: We are seeking a high-level CNC machinist with at least 6+ years of manual and/or CNC machining experience. This is a growth level position. Potential applicants must have good mechanical and machining skills and the desire to grow into a highly skilled machinist. This position can grow into the future of the company. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Set up and operate CNC milling machines and lathes (machining centers), with a preference for experience using HAAS controls. • Operate and maintain manual lathes and mills as needed for prototype or low-volume production work. • Program CNC machines using CAD/CAM systems with at least 2 years of experience, demonstrating a strong desire to continually improve and optimize processes. • Interpret and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) standards to ensure parts meet precise engineering specifications. • Apply knowledge of cutting speeds, feeds, and material properties to select appropriate tooling and machining parameters. • Perform basic inspection and measurement of machined parts; experience with CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machines) is considered a strong asset. • Collaborate effectively with engineering, scientific, assembly, and machine shop teams to support product development and manufacturing goals. We machine prototype spaceflight hardware and ground support equipment daily. The machinist position will be required to work independently from complex drawings, sketches, CAD models, and/or verbal instructions to facilitate the manufacture of parts and assemblies by programming, setting up, and operating DMG mills. You’ll be working with engineering for design and manufacturing producibility, furthering a real team environment of continued success.
