Machinist needed in the North side os Aurora This role focuses on metalwork, machining, and assembly across multiple production areas. You will take full ownership of your craftsmanship, demonstrating discipline in upholding high standards of quality, precision, and safety. Work areas may include the metal fabrication shop, trailer and van manufacturing lines, specialty vehicle build stations, safety product assembly, and an in-house tent production shop. The environment involves regular exposure to welding, grinding, loud noise, and other common fabrication shop hazards. This position is ideal for someone who is hands-on, detail-oriented, and committed to producing quality work in a dynamic manufacturing setting. Responsibilities • Proficient in Mastercam and CNC Programming with hands-on experience using Amada Turret Punch Press • Led high-precision fabrication projects, ensuring adherence to strict quality standards and production timelines • Collaborated with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to streamline workflows and improve efficiency • Spearheaded innovation and process improvement by developing new fabrication methods and custom tooling solutions • Championed continuous improvement efforts, applying Lean and Six Sigma principles to enhance productivity • Acted as the technical lead for resolving complex fabrication issues and training team members on best practices • Evaluated and recommended upgrades to capital equipment and fabrication technology to support operational growth Requirements: • 7+ years of hands-on experience in metalwork, fabrication, or assembly, with advanced technical capabilities and some leadership or mentoring experience • Basic to advanced experience with CNC operation; knowledge of CAD/CAM software is a strong plus • Committed to following ISO standards, internal quality controls, and all workplace safety regulations • Works well in cross-functional teams; communicates effectively with engineers, supervisors, and peers • REQUIRED: Mastercam • REQUIRED: CNC Programming • REQUIRED: Amada Turret Apply Now!!! You will develop new CNC programs for production runs or modify existing programs for different machines. During the manufacturing process, you will perform quality checks with the machine operator to ensure the program is producing parts according to specifications, making manual adjustments if necessary. You will also work with the engineers to look for product modifications that might reduce the amount of material or fabrication time. Applicants should be familiar with the computer-aided design program Mastercam, experience with Fagor controls a plus.
