As a CNC Operator, you will be part of the Tool & Die Department supporting machining and production teams. Tool Room Machinist - I

JOB OVERVIEW The Tool Maker is responsible for the design, construction, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of tooling fixtures and associated gaging systems. This role supports tool prove-in projects and the development of process instructions and improvements. The Tool Maker analyzes specifications, lays out metal stock, sets up and operates machine tools, and fits and assembles parts to manufacture and repair dies, cutting tools, jigs, fixtures, gauges, and machinists’ hand tools. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Build, repair, and enhance fabrication tooling based on designated priorities and schedules. Convert customer data, blueprints, and engineering specifications into accurate tool designs. • Provide updates on tooling progress and ensure compliance with timing requirements to relevant stakeholders. • Assist in the development of operational and maintenance instructions related to tooling and machinery, as directed. • Conduct R&D for fabrication tooling as assigned. Monitor, maintain, and safeguard all fabrication tooling, including identification, revision control, and obsolescence. • Identify and document any issues related to product quality, process efficiency, and the quality system. Initiate actions to prevent non-conformities. • Recommend and implement solutions for identified issues through appropriate channels. • Follow all safety guidelines, report hazards or violations, and adhere to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures when necessary. • Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safety and productivity. • Complete projects in a timely manner to ensure production schedules are met. • Assist in die design tasks as needed. • Perform other duties as assigned. SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS • Understand customer (internal and external) requirements and how this job can contribute to meeting the requirements of Global. • Be familiar with Environmental Policy and significance. • Understanding of profile extrusion, fabrication and related processes. • Minimum Two years of experience in tool making. • High School or Equivalency required. • Good communication and interpersonal skills; bilingual English/Spanish. • Be familiar with IATF16949, EMS, and Quality Management System Awareness requirements pertaining to job. • Become aware of how this job affects quality, cost, and delivery objectives. • Two or more years of experience in simulated design builds and prototypes, mold or tool design. • Two or more years of experience in blueprint interpretation, tooling/materials testing, and inspection methods and FMEA methodology. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS • Be able to remain on your feet for the entire shift. • Lift, carry, push and pull with requirements that can range from 25 to 50 lbs. • Physical stamina and endurance to perform the job well. • Strong body movement, with lower back and core strength. • Move materials without issues or damage to self and property. • The ability to stoop, bend, and kneel for extended periods. CNC and Machine Setup Machinist

Company that supports the medical field is looking for a CNC and Machine Setup Machinist. Job Purpose: The primary duty of a Manufacturing Setup Machinist is to perform the machine setup duties of their team in order to meet customer demand. Works to improve the speed and efficiency of both the machine operation and machine setup process, but puts emphasis on the machine setup. Technical leader of the manufacturing cell and plays a crucial role in improving the total output and overall quality of their cell. Responsible for the appearance and cleanliness of their cell area. Performs any task required in the machine shop. Holds great reverence for their position of the technical leader of a manufacturing cell. Responsibilities: include, but are not limited to the following: • Monitor the entire machine operation, both machine setup and operation, but with added focus on setup • Efficiently sets up the machines in their cell • Monitor and identify improvements to the entire machining process of their cell, including the tooling, setup process, and actual machine operation (speeds and feeds) • Support the quality process within their cell • Assist with the monitoring and management of production capacity when necessary • Willing and able to perform any function of the cell, including, but not limited to machine operation, deburring electronic responsibilities as defined. • Measure and check parts with applicable measuring tools, Caliper, Pin, Thread Gauges and other functional gauges based on drawing specifications • Responsible Housekeeping and Safety Awareness and leads by example • Understand the electronic requirements of the CNC and Machine Setup Machinist as required by the job. Such as work order transactions, electronic quality signoffs, understanding of Planner as required, understand of the daily capacity and machine scheduling in Filemaker. The hours are from 3:30pm-12:00am and able to work OT if needed. Pay rate will be $15.00 an hour. Position is long term and could become full time with the company.
