The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and be able to complete tasks with precision and attention to detail. The Finish Carpenter will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality finishes in our projects, working closely with other tradespeople to deliver a superior finished product. • *Responsibilities:** - Fabricate and install all finishes, including but not limited to cabinets, doors, and trim. - Conduct door hanging and install hardware with precision. - Ensure proper installation of electrical and plumbing fixtures. - Perform tile laying and installation to the highest standards. - Conduct quality LVP floor installation - Apply paint and other finishes to walls and ceilings. - Hang and finish drywall - Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete tasks efficiently and effectively. - Maintain a clean and organized work site. - Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations. • *Experience:** The successful candidate will have extensive experience as a Finish Carpenter, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results. They will have a strong understanding of carpentry techniques and be able to work effectively with other tradespeople. Experience with electrical and plumbing systems is also highly desirable. Earn an additional $2000 your first year. New crew members receive an additional $500 bonus every quarter during their first year of employment with Morton Buildings. About the position Responsibilities • Identify and complete work in a timely fashion. • Safely operate all tools, including joiners, shapers, band saws, skill saws, routers, planers, table saws, nail guns, and drills. • Build walls, partitions, stairs, ramps, landings, decks, cabinets, shelves, etc. • Layout, cut, drill, miter, sand and otherwise prepare materials for fabrication of various end products. • Install, apply, maintain, or repair shock-absorbing, light reflective, sound-deadening, and decorative coverings to ceilings, walls, and floors. • Hang and trim windows, doors, cabinets. • Mark cutting and assembly lines on materials. • Assemble cut and shaped materials and fasten them together with nails, dowel pins, or glue. • Erect framework for structures and lay subflooring. • Build stairs and install partitions and cabinet work. • Fit and install prefabricated window frames, doors, door frames, weather stripping, interior and exterior trim, and finish hardware. • Construct forms and chutes for pouring concrete. • Maintain a clean work area free of hazards. • Report problem areas and safety hazards. • Perform other related jobs and duties as assigned.
