As a carpenter you will work on a wide range of projects at the direction of your crew lead that include but aren't limited to wood and steel stud framing, wall coverings, trim, flooring, and insulation. Job responsibilities and duties to include • Able to identify and complete work in a timely fashion. • Safely operate all tools, including, but not limited to, joiners, shapers, band saws, skill saws, routers, planers, table saws, nail guns, and drills. • Build walls, partitions, stairs, ramps, landings and decks, cabinets, shelves, etc. • Layout, cut, drill, miter, sand and otherwise prepare materials, and to use said materials in the fabrication of various end products, including, but not limited to, lumber, plywood, particle board, plastics, and glass. • Install, apply, maintain, or repair shock-absorbing, light reflective, sound-deadening, and decorative coverings to ceilings, walls, and floors. • Hang and trim windows, doors, cabinets. • Marks cutting and assembly lines on materials. • Assembles cut and shaped materials and fastens them together with nails, dowel pins, or glue. • Erects framework for structures and lays subflooring. • Builds stairs and lays out and installs partitions and cabinet work. • Fits and installs prefabricated window frames, doors, door frames, weather stripping, interior and exterior trim, and finish hardware. • Constructs forms and chutes for pouring concrete. • Maintains a clean work area free of hazards. • Report problem areas and safety hazards. • Performs other related jobs and duties as assigned. Schedule is subject to change based on weather, workload or other factors based on business need.
