High-End Finish Carpenter

Candidates must have a strong proven background in very high-end finish carpentry, millwork installtion and stair building. This role requires organization, precision, creativity, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The Finish Carpenter will be responsible for delivering high-quality craftsmanship in very high end residential projects. Candidates should have experience executing traditional details as well as modern/minimalist details; and understand the correct use of each. Experience • Proven experience as a highly skilled finish carpenter working t the highest level. • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to carpentry tasks. • Proficiency working wiht various materials including wood, laminate, metals, glass, stone, etc and bringing them together. • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues on-site. • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work. • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately. • Experience in maintenance person services is a plus. Supervisor Carpenter

The Department of Transportation is hiring a Supervisor Carpenter who will report to the Facilities Maintenance unit. The Supervisor Carpenter, supervises, directs and is responsible for the work of Carpenters within in industrial DOT properties for in-house construction projects and performs related work. The Supervisor Carpenter will be responsible for the following: - Assigns and lays out jobs for carpenters and closely allied workers. - Supervises, directs and inspects the work of carpenters relating to the installation and/or - replacement of flooring, doors, building hardware, trim, window frames, sashes, partitions, etc. - Estimates job requirements from plans and specifications and/or field surveys. - Requisitions materials and equipment. - Supervises, directs, and is responsible for the proper operation of the departmental carpentry shop(s). - When required, lays out and supervises the heavy and rough carpentry work in the construction, maintenance, and repair of shoring, bulkheads, scaffolds, dock facilities, construction sheds, promenades, etc. - Keeps records and prepares reports. - OMB Required Questions - Directly related to maintaining and improving health and safety SUPERVISOR CARPENTER - 92071 Minimum Qualifications 1.
