Crew Leader/Carpenter

We are looking for a Crew Leader and Installer for a local Sunroom Contractor expert who can provide the experience and knowledge to build the porch enclosure of your dreams. Job Title: Crew Leader Installer Location: College Station, TX 77845 Pay: $30-40/hr Shift: Mondays to Fridays, 730am to 4 pm Local Travel: Austin, Waco, The Woodlands What’s the Job? • Manage all aspects of installation and construction from scheduling to completion. • Oversee all documentation, planning, and scheduling to ensure smooth operations. • Travel to other markets (outside of the local area) as needed based on business demands. • Communicate effectively with customers to explain the installation process and ensure satisfaction. • Explain product warranties and features to customers during installation. What’s Needed? • High school diploma or equivalent. • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. • Experience in general carpentry, including math calculations and the ability to measure accurately. • Excellent communication skills with both customers and team members. • Must be able to participate in all aspects of installations, including lifting, loading, and unloading materials as needed. In this exciting role you will have responsibility for delivering teaching and learning to our Carpentry students across levels 1 – 3. Working closely with the Director of Learning, Programme Manager and the rest of the Construction team, you will have the chance to share your Carpentry industry knowledge and skills with learners to help them achieve at the highest level as well as driving continuous improvement within the College. You will act as a personal tutor and course leader for Level 2 students, promote attendance, participate in team meetings and contribute to the planning, development and review activities within your subject area. You will also teach apprentices in house and be required to assess students work. The Successful Candidate Must • Hold a full teaching qualification (such as a PGCE, DTTLS or Cert ED) • Be qualified to teach up to Level 3 in Carpentry • Have teaching experience (ideally within F,E teaching Level 1 to Level 3) • Have industry experience • Have experience delivering Apprenticeships A certificate/award in Assessing and Internal Quality Assurance is also desirable but not essential.
