Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Carpenter/Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and carpentry, with experience in various tasks including remodeling, installation, drywall finishing , painting and masonry work. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can read and interpret schematics and is comfortable working on construction sites. Duties • Perform carpentry tasks including framing, door hanging, painting, drywall finsihing and flooring installation. • Assist with masonry work as needed, ensuring quality and adherence to specifications. • Execute remodeling projects by following blueprints and schematics accurately. • Install various fixtures and fittings according to project requirements. • Lay tiles with precision, ensuring proper alignment and finish. • Operate CNC machinery for custom woodwork when required. • Maintain a clean and organized work environment on the construction site. • Collaborate with team members to ensure project timelines are met effectively. Qualifications • Proven experience as a carpenter or laborer in the construction industry. • Familiarity with various carpentry techniques and tools. • Knowledge of masonry practices is a plus. • Experience in remodeling projects is highly desirable. • Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints accurately. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. • Physical stamina to perform manual labor for extended periods. • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team. Qualifications • Proven experience in given field. • Required to have membership or join Contractors Union • Read and follow plans, prepare project layouts, and check work along the way to ensure it meets code and specifications • Experience with pile driving, concrete forming, steel or concrete beam erection, temporary and permanent shoring, cofferdams, and bridge deck forming and concrete placement. • Working knowledge of bridge super substructure and substructure, cofferdams, and bridge deck construction methods used to construct major bridge structures • Work within precise standards of accuracy; able to compare and see differences in the size, shape, and forms of lines, figures, and object • Working knowledge of driving pile, formwork, setting and tying steel, pouring and finishing concrete, and set up and maintenance of erosion control • Knowledge of survey controls, grade checking; and bridge geometry • Competency in reading civil construction plans • Valid Driver License Additional Physical Requitements • Requires ability to climb and maintain balance on scaffold/ladder • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs; may be required to work in adverse weather conditions • Requires good manual dexterity; may be standing, bending, kneeling or sitting for long periods • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check Travel/Overnight Travel within the state of Ohio is required.
