Overview We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various carpentry techniques and be adept in both residential and commercial projects. This role requires a keen eye for detail, the ability to read and interpret schematics, and proficiency in using hand tools and heavy equipment. The Carpenter will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard. Duties • Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials. • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project specifications. • Perform masonry work including bricklaying and stucco application as needed. • Execute metal stud framing for drywall installations. • Operate heavy equipment safely to assist in construction tasks. • Utilize hand tools effectively for precise measurements and cuts. • Collaborate with other tradespeople on remodeling projects to ensure quality workmanship. • Conduct installation of various fixtures such as doors, windows, cabinets, and countertops. • Perform plastering work as required to finish surfaces smoothly. Qualifications • Proven experience as a Carpenter or similar role in construction. • Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques including masonry, metal stud framing, stucco application, welding, and plastering. • Ability to read and understand schematics and technical drawings accurately. • Proficient in the use of hand tools and heavy equipment relevant to carpentry work. • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. • Strong physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks for extended periods. • Good communication skills to work effectively with team members and clients.
