DLP Staffing & Temp Services LLC is currently accepting applications for the position of: POSITION TITLE: Skilled Carpenter Location: Uvalde, TX FLSA: Non-Exempt Hire Pay: $19.00 per hour Classification: Temporary or Temp-To-Hire JOB DESCRIPTION: We are seeking experienced Skilled Carpenters to perform a variety of carpentry tasks at an active construction site in Uvalde, TX. This position includes framing, trimming, building, and installation work, requiring attention to detail and safe use of tools and equipment. Applicants must have prior carpentry experience and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. JOB SUMMARY: • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and written/verbal instructions. • Measure, cut, and assemble wood and other materials to construct frameworks, partitions, forms, and finished structures. • Install windows, doors, hardware, molding, and other fixtures. • Perform framing, drywall backing, baseboard and trim installation. • Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently. • Inspect and maintain work areas and equipment to ensure safety. • Maintain a clean and organized job site. • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or foreman. QUALIFICATIONS: • 2+ years of verifiable carpentry experience required. • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and drawings. • Skilled in using tape measures, levels, saws, drills, nail guns, and other carpentry tools. • Must bring own basic carpentry tools (e.g., hammer, tool belt, measuring tape, square, level, drill, etc.). • Strong attention to detail and work quality. Must be able to lift, push/pull, and carry up to 55 pounds. • Reliable transportation and consistent attendance required. • Steel-toe boots and PPE required. SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED: This position works under the supervision of a site foreman. Tasks are expected to be completed independently with responsibility for safety and quality. WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed outdoors and indoors on an active construction site. Candidates must be able to work in varying weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
