In this role, you will be responsible for performing corrective, preventive, and emergency maintenance and operations safely and efficiently at assigned solar power facilities. Key Responsibilities: • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on equipment. • Respond to site dispatches to troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions or failures. • Accurately document site issues and their resolutions. • Prepare and submit timely reports. • Record work time in designated software systems. • Participate in meetings, both in person and remotely. • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with environmental and safety regulations. • Work independently or as part of a crew, as needed. • Travel to various sites as requested, including occasional long-distance or overnight trips. • Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications • Ability to lift, push, and pull materials up to 50 lbs. • Capable of standing, walking, squatting, crawling, and working in confined or awkward spaces for extended periods. • Full use of hands, arms, shoulders, back, and visual acuity including depth and color perception. • Proficient with basic electrical equipment. • Strong hands-on technical abilities. • Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations. • Committed to workplace safety, with the ability to follow and improve existing standards. • Proficient in Microsoft Office with the ability to learn new software programs. • Strong verbal and written communication skills across all organizational levels. • Able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. • Skilled in summarizing and presenting key information. • Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset. • Strong interpersonal skills with a professional, honest, and approachable communication style. • Problem-solver who adds value through initiative and responsiveness. • Able to build and maintain positive working relationships across diverse teams and locations. • Flexible and reliable, with the ability to work overtime, nights, and travel as needed. Minimum Experience and Special Requirements • Two or more years of experience in a power plant or PV Solar O&M/EPC experience. Work Environment • Normal plant and/or office environment, including working at heights, high/low ambient temperatures, and high humidity areas. • Requires standing, sitting, walking, kneeling, twisting, climbing stairs and ladders, and entering plant equipment to access, inspect, or collect data on plant equipment. • Requires use of protective safety equipment (i.e., respirators, safety glasses, hard hat, appropriate footwear, ear plugs, and more). • May be required to work around rotating and energized equipment, hazardous materials, and chemicals. Responsibilities • Operate transportation equipment for pick-up and delivery of machinery, parts, and similar loads. • Operate trucks with or without trailers. • Ensure that all loads are properly prepared, loaded and secured before the vehicle proceeds from each stop. • Personally check and inspect the load. • Perform a thorough check of the truck before and after each stop. • Properly secure any loose timbers and ramps with chains when in transit. • Personally remove and put away chains or straps when unloading. • Prepare before and stow away after each trip, the vehicle, trailer, and all auxiliary equipment such as chains, straps, blocks, and gear. • Comply with all DOT, State and local traffic and highway laws, rules, and regulations. • Safely operate all equipment in compliance with all legal weight and load size limits. • Take pictures of questionable machine damage and report immediately. • Assist in loading or unloading the trucks. • Ensure all loads are properly prepared, loaded and secured to avoid shifting, loosening, or falling while enroute. • Ensure manifests are accurate and error free. • Work safely at all times and adhere to all applicable safety policies. • Maintain company equipment by checking fuel, oil, water, tires, etc on truck and equipment before starting. • Keep driver's license and required CDL and all endorsements current. • Ensure all required paperwork is properly completed within applicable time deadlines. • Work extra hours and scheduled days off up to the limit permissible by DOT when requested by supervisor. Requirements • Proof of high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED). • Clean, current driving and safety record for the past 12 months. • Must have current valid Class A CDL with Hazmat endorsement, Doubles/Triples endorsement, and Tanker endorsement prior to hire. • Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write) in English.
