About the role - Millwright/Welder (Winnemucca, NV) We are excited to announce an opportunity at Orica for a Millwright/Welder within our Specialty Mining Chemicals team. The Millwright/Welder position is responsible for assisting the maintenance team in servicing and repairing all plant equipment, resulting in reliable production runs with minimal mechanical downtime. They report to the Maintenance Supervisor and are responsible for all day-to-day maintenance needs. Duties may include regular/preventative machinery maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical or facilities issues, making necessary repairs, welding, and completing all related documentation. What you will be doing • Provide maintenance support to the Operations department for all mechanical equipment • Weekly oil and grease checks of rolling stock and certain process equipment • Repair of process vessels during shutdowns and support for startups • Installing and testing of various rotating equipment, pumps, seals, and gaskets • Basic understanding of testing motors and sensors for different testers • Basic ability to trace electrical wires, read a volt/ohm meter. Basic instrument understanding (4-20) signals • Forklift training, crane, truck driving, refrigerating training, and hydraulics • Ability to create/issue work orders and PMs in the CMMS (i.e., M3, SAP, and Passport) • Knowledge of piping systems and manual valves • Stainless and/or carbon welding, including MIG, TIG, and stick What you will bring • 5+ years’ experience or equivalent experience in maintenance, electrical, stainless, and/or carbon welding (MIG, TIG, stick) preferred • 2-5 years of process control experience preferred • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
