In this role, you'll utilize engineering blueprints to fabricate and weld metal component parts and assemblies using precision TIG (GTAW) welding and finishing techniques. Duties & Responsibilities Read, interpret, and follow work orders, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine optimal fabrication methods. Perform precision TIG welding and fabrication of Stainless Steel (and other materials as required) to JST quality standards. Safely and efficiently use metalworking tools, power hand tools, and welding equipment. Accurately use measuring instruments and follow company quality procedures. Track job labor and material usage using a personal computer and shop floor control software. Follow company safety policies and maintain a safe work environment. Maintain stewardship of equipment and contribute to shop cleanliness. Support manufacturing, engineering, quality, and quoting departments with miscellaneous tasks as required. Work cooperatively with team members, communicating constraints and collaborating on solutions. Perform work in a variety of positions, including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and laying, as needed. Other duties as assigned. Job Requirements Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and project specifications. Strong math skills (calculator use acceptable). Proficient in TIG (GTAW) welding of Stainless Steel with precision and consistency. Skilled in the safe use of power hand tools and precision equipment such as calipers. Technical degree preferred or equivalent experience. Able to consistently produce accurate, high-quality parts on schedule. Ability to pass JST's TIG Welding Test. Equipment maintenance skills required.
