Job Description: QED Systems Inc., an experienced marine engineering, planning, and ship modernization firm, is seeking an experienced Welder at our Norfolk, VA location. Duties/Responsibilities: • Will report directly to the Foreman or Project Supervisor that is responsible for executing the project. • Work in confined spaces and climb vertical/inclined ladders. • Lay out work to be accomplished. • Select materials required to accomplish removals / installations / repairs / alterations, and cut / burn/ grind surfaces (as directed). • All other duties as assigned. Job Requirements/skill sets: • Must have experience and successfully demonstrate the skills and ability to certify to QED Weld Procedures for at least two metals (OSS, HY, SS, AL, or CuNi). • Must have experience in at least two welding processes (SMAW, FCAW, GMAW, or GTAW). • Ability to follow directions. • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings and understand associated welding symbols. • Must have prior NAVSEA, ABS, or AWS certification as a welder. • Must be able to comply with all applicable safety regulations. Education Requirements: • High school diploma or equivalent required. Security Clearance/Naval Facility Access: U.S. citizenship required. Must be able to meet and maintain eligibility for U.S. Secret Clearance and/or be able to access military facilities, naval shipyards, and private shipyards. Industrial Welder - Day Shift

Synerfac is seeking a Welder. Our client provides on site power integration for large scale centers. Responsibilities: - Perform welding duties primarily using a MIG torch. (TIG torch, Wire Welder, Spot Welder and/or oxy/acetylene torch are also used.) - Weld I-beam, frame and fuel tanks in flat, vertical or overhead positions. - Clean and dress welds as required set up and lay out work using material handling equipment or hand layouts to fabricate or rework finished products. - Manual set up of hand-held sanders, grinders, wire wheels or other finishing hand held tools. - Clamp, hold, tack weld, drill, mill, tap, cut and/or bolt together components to obtain required configuration and positions for complete welding process. - Inspect products, equipment and tools for defect and malfunction. - Create quality welds according to blue prints/specifications. - Inspect all welds and re-work as necessary. - Change wire and gas on weld machine as necessary. - Maintain welding equipment and machines inspect regularly and request maintenance as needed. - Assist/participate in fuel tank pressure testing as required and rework as necessary. - Perform work to timely standard and quality expectations. - Report and document basic material, production, quality or safety issues to direct supervisor or management . - 5+ year of welding experience #ZRNV

Welder - Day or Night Shift
