You will be responsible for interpreting blueprints and technical drawings, allowing you to execute precise welds and repairs. Minimum Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent. • Completion of a welding certification program or equivalent experience. • Proven experience in welding and metal fabrication. Preferred Qualifications: • Additional certifications in specialized welding techniques. • Experience with robotic welding systems. • Knowledge of safety regulations and practices in welding. Responsibilities: • Perform welding tasks using various techniques such as MIG, TIG, and Stick welding. • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine the appropriate welding processes. • Inspect and test welded surfaces to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. • Maintain welding equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working condition. • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet project deadlines and quality expectations. Skills: The required skills for this position include proficiency in various welding techniques, which you will apply daily to create strong and reliable welds. Attention to detail is essential, as you will need to ensure that all welds meet strict quality standards and specifications. Problem-solving skills will be utilized when interpreting blueprints and troubleshooting any issues that arise during the welding process. Additionally, effective communication skills will be important for collaborating with team members and supervisors to achieve project goals. Preferred skills, such as knowledge of robotic welding systems, will enhance your ability to work efficiently and adapt to advanced manufacturing technologies. Description: 1st shift 7am to 3pm 2nd shift 3pm to 11pm 3rd shift 11pm to 7am Overtime when required Fabricates components by analyzing requirements; welding parts. Duties: • Develops welding projects by analyzing work orders, prints, and completed assembly; calculating requirements; studying metals; determining appropriate welding techniques. • Collects equipment and materials by studying specifications and component requirements; ordering supplies and gases. • Fabricates components by using equipment to clean, prepare, cut, burn, and weld pieces; setting-up and measuring assemblies; selecting appropriate method. • Verifies welding results by inspecting and testing welds. • Documents actions by completing records. • Maintains safe work environment by following procedures; complying with legal regulations. • Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs. • Accomplishes manufacturing and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
