Key Responsibilities - Shop Hand / Welder Helper • Assist in fabricating, repairing, and assembling metal parts and equipment • Operate tools such as grinders, cutters, MIG welders, calipers, and clamps • Read and follow blueprints, measurements, and welding plans accurately • Set up components for welding as needed and assist with layout planning • Perform grinding, painting, scrapping, and prepping work for welding operations • Inspect welded components for defects or flaws to ensure quality standards • Maintain a clean and organized work area and adhere to all plant safety regulations • Follow all safety protocols, time management expectations, and production procedures Required Skills and Knowledge- Shop Hand / Welder Helper • Previous experience in metal fabrication, welding, or a similar industrial role preferred • Must be able to lift 50 pounds frequently and perform physically demanding tasks • Comfortable standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, and moving around the facility for 12-hour shifts • Strong attention to detail and ability to read and interpret blueprints and measurements • Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and communicate effectively with supervisors • Good attendance and punctuality are essential for success in this role • AWS welding certification is a plus, but not required (relevant experience accepted) Education and Experience - Shop Hand / Welder Helper • High school diploma or equivalent • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment • Ability to meet production workflow with quality assurance, safety-minded, and attention to detail. • Abide by and follow all OSHA rules and regulations.
