Job Title: Structural Welder (Pulse Arc) Location: Newport News, VA $45/hr and $140 in per diem Job Description We are seeking a skilled Structural Welder with expertise in Pulse Arc Welding to join our team. You would be responsible for welding on the next generation of the naval fleet, focusing on aircraft carriers and submarines. Responsibilities • Perform multi-pass, all-position fillet and butt welds using GMAW, FCAW, and GMAW-P processes. • Utilize Air Carbon Arc Gouging effectively. • Work in various environments including shipboard and sub-assemblies, adhering to OSHA regulations. • Use fillet and butt weld gauges accurately. • Successfully pass all position, multi-pass butt weld qualification tests as per MIL-STD-248D standards. Essential Skills • Four years of welding experience. • Proficiency in SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, and GMAW-P welding processes. • Ability to work in confined spaces and on ladders and staging. • Familiarity with OSHA regulations in the shipbuilding industry Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Lynchburg, VA.
