Must be able to set your own welder and keep your work area organized and clean. Must also know how to read welding prints ,read a tape measure and cut with a oxygen - acetylene torch. Starting pay will be based on knowledge and experience. Welder I

PRIMARY FUNCTION: Performs all types of welding, cutting, and fabrication of steel parts in both a production and R&D environment. Works with formal drawings, sketches or concept development while maintaining high safety standards. PRIMARY DUTIES: • Capable of the fabrication and welding of both production and new product prototypes in a safe and effective manner through the effective use of tools, assembly equipment, fixtures & material handling equipment. • Responsible for building and testing new product prototypes, tooling, and fixtures. • Design and test process improvements for increased performance and throughput in manufacturing. • Participate in continual improvement activities and the identification & resolution of problems. • Comply with all company rules, regulations and safety requirements. • Maintain a safe and organized work area. PHYSICAL ACTIVITY: Lifting, of up to 75 pounds occasionally, is required. Considerable walking, climbing of stairs and extended reaching may be required. Will have to work with various power and manual tools, including torch, hammer, tape measure and all welding tools of the trade. Must be able to handle extreme weather conditions. Flash-Butt Welder

Job ID: 19038 Position Summary The Flash-Butt Welder is responsible for driving, operating, diagnosing, and maintaining a mobile electric flash-butt welding machine. Work includes driving a welding truck (CDL required) to and from work locations and setting the welding truck on the track. Pay Range: $35 / hour Primary/Essential Responsibilities and Duties • Will perform Intrack Welding functions. • Capable of performing job duties in a safe and professional manner. • Self-directed individual with the ability to supervise and lead a small group. • Responsible to report customer and production status in a professional and timely manner. • No prior welding experience is required. • Must have the ability to read precision instruments and gauges with a background in heavy mechanical/electrical machines and equipment. • Perform QA inspections as required. • Candidate must be able to lift 50 lbs. • Candidate will set up and perform weld operations including moving jack stands into place prior to making welds, cleaning and removing ballast rocks in the work area, vehicle maintenance, and cleaning, truck movement while on track from work site to work site, grinding welds as needed. • Must be able to work in all weather conditions. Required Skills and Qualifications • A valid class A driver's license and satisfactory driving record • Must be 21 years or older • Basic computer skills. • Good verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to communicate with all levels of employees and customers. • Fill out and organize work reports • Must be able to travel 90% of time • Ability to pass drug screening and background check.
