About the position NextEra Energy Resources is seeking an Entry Level PV Solar & Battery Technician to join our Operations and Maintenance (O&M) team. This position plays a crucial role in supporting the operations and maintenance of our photovoltaic (PV) solar and battery storage systems. The technician will be responsible for ensuring optimal performance and reliability of clean energy systems, contributing to our mission of leading the decarbonization of the U.S. economy with a goal to reach Real Zero carbon emissions from our operations by 2045. As a member of the O&M team, the technician will conduct routine preventive maintenance activities on solar panels, battery storage systems, and associated equipment. This includes troubleshooting and undertaking corrective maintenance to identify and resolve system issues, ensuring maximum system uptime and efficiency. The technician will adhere to maintenance schedules and follow established procedures for inspections, cleaning, lubrication, and component replacements. Utilizing monitoring software and tools, the technician will regularly monitor and analyze system performance, identifying deviations and inefficiencies. Generating performance reports and maintaining accurate records of system performance, including energy production, equipment status, and maintenance activities, will be essential. Summary: The Field Operations Manager - Solar performs operations management of self-performing aspects of utility scale solar.
