As we continue to grow rapidly in the renewable energy sector, we are looking for experienced roofers or mechanically inclined professionals who want to transition into the clean energy industry. Responsibilities • Install solar panels and related racking systems on residential and commercial rooftops. • Lift, transport, and position solar panels safely. • Assemble and secure structural steel components for solar racking systems. • Perform electrical pre-wiring for solar panels and related equipment (as applicable). • Safely climb ladders and work on sloped roofs in varying weather conditions. • Follow blueprints, schematics, and technical installation instructions. • Maintain a clean job site, work truck, and warehouse. • Adhere to company safety protocols and OSHA standards at all times. • Use required personal protective equipment (PPE) on every job site. • Work under the direction of the Crew Lead or Installation Manager, collaborating with all team members. • Interact with clients professionally and respectfully. • Continuously learn about new solar technologies, equipment, and installation techniques. Skills & Qualifications • Required: • 1+ years of roofing or building experience (Required). • Ability to climb ladders, work on roofs, and access tight crawl spaces. • Knowledge of hand and power tools (drills, tape measures, wrenches, sockets). • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs safely. • Willingness to work extended hours when necessary. • Valid driver’s license. • High school diploma or equivalent. • Preferred: • 1+ years of electrical or solar installation experience. • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification (Preferred, or willingness to obtain within 60 days of hire). Work Environment • Outdoor environment with exposure to varying weather conditions, from extreme heat to cold. • Working at heights on ladders, lifts, and sloped rooftops. • Physical activities including climbing, crawling, kneeling, standing, walking, and lifting. Solar Technician

BT Solar is a small business that builds solar PV systems for commercial, residential and nonprofit clients. Our growth has led to opportunities for increases in wages and responsibilities over time. Solar Installers assemble and maintain Solar PV systems on roofs and ground structures per site specific designs. Job tasks include working in fields, on flat roofs, at heights and on sloped roofs, measuring, moving, assembling, and bolting structural framing and solar modules. Being comfortable on a pitched roof is an important aspect of this position. Work experience in solar is preferred, but a positive attitude and work ethic is critical. This position requires knowledge of, and ability to use hand tools such as a socket wrench and drills. Setting up/ taking down ladders and safety equipment is a must have ability. If you don't already have your OSHA-10 card, your will need to complete that training prior to starting construction work in the field. Concise on-site communication with fellow members and customers is expected. Compensation is determined by your ability to perform residential and commercial solar installations. Qualifications: • 3+ years of solar installation experience, including 1+ year in a leadership role. • Strong knowledge of residential PV systems and components. • Experienced in leading teams and coordinating installations under demanding field conditions. • Valid OSHA 10 certification, or ability to obtain. • Ability to accurately read and interpret solar plans and wiring schematics. • Strong verbal and written communication, and problem-solving skills. • NABCEP certification preferred, but not required. Requirements: • Ability to lift/carry 50+ lbs. and work on your feet throughout long workdays. • A valid U.S. driver’s license (active for a minimum of 4 years) with a clean driving record (no more than one moving violation in the past year and no more than two in the past 4 years). • Comfortable working at heights and ability to scale residential homes in varying weather conditions. • Strong communication, problem-solving, and team leadership skills. • Follow safety and company guidelines. • Provide consistent updates on project progress, while ensuring all required documentation, reports, and daily jobsite paperwork are completed accurately and submitted on time. • Willingness to travel within the state as required. • Ability to operate hand and power tools.
