IFS is seeking a highly skilled Welder to join our team. The Welder is critical to the success of our construction projects. Job Summary: Welder is sponsible for welding structural and miscellaneous steel components according to project specifications. This role requires precision, a strong understanding of welding codes, and the ability to work in a fast-paced fabrication environment. Supervisory Responsibilities: None Duties/Responsibilities Inspection of Fabrication: • Perform MIG, and Stick welding on steel components. • Weld structural steel components using FCAW, SMAW, or GMAW processes. • Follow shop drawings, welding symbols, and AISC/AWS D1.1 welding codes. • Ensure welds meet project specifications and safety standards. • Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment and tools. • Conduct visual inspections and participate in quality assurance processes. • Work with foreman and QA/QC personnel to resolve welding or fabrication issues. • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. • Inform about the nonconformance situation shop foreman • Collaborate with fabrication teams, foremen, and inspectors to resolve welding issues. • Inspect and measure completed work using tools such as tape measure, and weld gauges. Safety & Health • Perform and maintain health and safety rules for a safe work environment. • Use the PPE (Personal protective equipment) equipment. • Ensure compliance with OSHA and company-specific safety procedures. Requirements Qualifications: • Proven experience as a structural welder (2+ years preferred). • AWS D1.1 welding certification preferred or ability to obtain. • Ability to read and interpret structural blueprints and welding symbols. • Familiarity with standard shop tools, measuring devices, and fabrication equipment. • Commitment to safety and quality. Preferred Certifications • AWS Certified Welder (D1.1, D1.5, etc.) • OSHA 10 Certification • Forklift and overhead crane operation certification Travel Requirements: None. Physical Requirements: Be physically active for long periods without getting tired or out of breath. Bend, stretch, twist, or reach out. Keep or regain the body's balance or stay upright when in an unstable position. See objects in very bright or glaring light. Job Type: Full-Time | On-Site | Flexible Schedule Pay: Competitive hourly overtime eligible Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), PTO, Paid Holidays About the Role Made Cascade is hiring a Sheet Metal Technician to run CNC press brakes and laser cutting equipment in both prototype/R&D and production settings. You'll handle true job-shop sheet metal work —from programming and forming to finishing and packaging—while juggling a dynamic mix of one-off prototypes and recurring production orders. The ideal candidate brings a maker's mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to keep a tight schedule moving. Materials include mild steel, stainless, and aluminum , with occasional deliveries to local clients in the greater Seattle area.
