The Sheet Metal Foreman is the direct leader of the Sheet Metal Mechanics and Helpers on each jobsite. This position is responsible for maintaining a productive work environment. What You’ll Do: • Verify install schedules, as well as daily and weekly schedules for on-site mechanics and helpers. • Supervise mechanics and helpers, including arrival time on the job, quality of work being completed, and company vehicle condition. • Order materials based off of specs, submittals, and takeoff to ensure that the materials are on site when needed. • Responsible for installs per code/spec. What You’ll Bring: • 5+ years of verifiable experience in a commercial or industrial Sheet Metal role is required. • High School diploma or GED is required. • Currently owns a personal set of tools required for the trade. • Journeyman license is required, Master’s is preferred. • Completion of OSHA 30 certification, or willing to obtain upon hire. • Driving Requirements • Must have a valid Virginia driver’s license. • Must have positive points on state driving record. • Must be at least 21 years of age unless company approval is granted. • Must not have had a DUI, DWI, or reckless driving conviction in the last five years. • All driving records are run as part of our pre-employment process and reviewed at the discretion of the Safety Team. • Must be able to crawl, kneel, squat, and climb. • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, unassisted. • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time. Sheet Metal Mechanic -- $65.70/HR (Quantico, VA)

• This job is on FBI Headquarters in Quantico, VA! • Select appropriate type of sheet metal, such galvanized iron, copper, steel, aluminum per project specifications and SMACNA standards. • Field measure duct work layout and produce sheet metal fitting sketches. Communicate field measurements with fabrication shop in a clear and concise manner. • Coordinate ductwork with other trades to avoid collisions and rework. • Cut into shapes to be used in heating and air conditioning ducts. • Interpret blueprints to decide where ducts will go. • Bend ducts to form shapes. • Drill holes into ducts to bolt together. • Weld, solder, or rivet ducts together. • Smooth over rough edges with file. • Install ready-made ducts. • Install HVAC equipment and supportive framework. • Inspect HVAC equipment and installation for conformance to specifications. • Coordinate schedules. • Analyze and resolve work problems. • Must be able to operate in a team environment, assisting other trades as necessary. This position needs to be able to read and understand drawings and scale, as well as being able to draw up duct. In addition to the installation of metal, this position is also responsible for utilizing and teaching any apprentices or helpers who have been assigned to assist them.
