Lead Sheet Metal Fabricator

Job Title: Lead Sheet Metal Fabricator Job Description The Lead Sheet Metal Fabricator will be a hands-on leader overseeing the sheet metal area. This role involves team leadership, production oversight, quality assurance, continuous improvement, safety compliance, resource management, documentation/reporting, and hands-on completion of sheet metal fabrication tasks. The department is newly established, starting with Brake Press, Hardware Insertion, and Spot Welding Machines, and will develop towards MIG and TIG welding on sheet metal. Hours - 7:00am - 3:30pm Monday - Friday, overtime as needed Pay - up to $35/hr Essential Skills • Direct experience in sheet metal fabrication. • Strong blueprint and CAD drawing reading skills. • Experience with Press Brake or other related sheet metal fabrication equipment • Ability to use precision measuring tools. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $49920.00 - $72800.00/yr. • *Hourly employees get paid WEEKLY** Benefits: BC/BS for Healthcare and MetLife for the rest. 10 paid holidays, vacation pro-rated in the first year and our 401K offers entry at the first of each quarter with Company matching funds (60% of the first 6% of contribution) after 1-year of employment (for active Plan participants). There is a 5-year vesting period for the matching funds only. 10 Holidays paid - start at date of hire PTO - typically 2 weeks to start prorated based on date of hire. 90 day probationary period before being able to use the PTO. Sheet Metal Foreman

JOB SUMMARY: Supervises and coordinates work crews engaged in installing commercial sheet metal products and equipment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Supervise and coordinate activities of the assigned work crew. • Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, or product specifications to determine the sequence and methods of installing ductwork and other related material. • Lay out and mark dimensions and reference lines to determine the proper placement of ductwork and other related materials. • Install and direct installation of assemblies in buildings and worksites. • Inspect installed ductwork and other related materials for conformance to specifications. • Document job progress via daily reports, job site photos, etc. • Able to drive a company vehicle, operate equipment and work at heights and in confined spaces. • Able to use hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment. • Able to erect and remove the scaffolding. • Follow and interpret company policies and procedures for workers and enforce safety regulations. • Speak, write, read, and understand the English language well enough to perform the job's essential duties. • Perform related work as assigned. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: • High School Diploma/GED • Completion of Apprenticeship or Trade School preferred • Minimum ten years of commercial sheet metal field experience • Possess active listening skills. Able to give full attention to what is being said, taking time to understand the points being made, and asking questions. • Demonstrate honest and ethical behaviors in business relationships and transactions. LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: • Valid Driver's License • Sheet Metal Journeyman License preferred. WORKING CONDITIONS PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demand for this position follows the criteria established by the Sheet Metal Field physical demands analysis. The physical demands described here must be met by an employee to perform the essential duties of this job successfully. This position requires continual walking, standing, climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, reaching, lifting, and carrying. Will work in small/tight confined spaces and at extreme heights. Will climb ladders of varying heights, work on scaffolding and operate the equipment. Other abilities required by this job include the ability to hear and speak to exchange information. Vision abilities require close, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus-dexterity of hands to perform the tasks required of the position. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as (but not limited to) steel toe boots, a hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and fall protection. WORK ENVIRONMENT: The workplace in which this employee performs the essential duties of this job may be located in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, and West Virginia.
