Sheet Metal Fabricator and Welder

Overview: We are looking for a motivated, experienced Welder/ Fabricator to join our company as a Welder/ Fabricator. As part of our team, you manage the production of the shop and construct sheet metal parts and products, taking particular care to produce clean, polished, precision welds. You help create production schedules, manage the shop day-to-day activy, follow blueprints, determine material measurements, and take responsibility for fabricating quality products. We build entire machines/systems so this position will also actively work on machine assembly. Job Duties: • MUST be well versed in Sheet Metal welding/fabrication. • MUST be well versed with tubular structural steel and handrailing. o Cross-trained in structural welding/fab is a plus, but this volume is much lower. • Well-rounded welding exposure: o MIG/TIG o Carbon, Stainless Steel, Aluminum o Solid Core, Dual Shield Flux Core o Create clean weldments. o Ensure proper penetration. o Food grade quality o Welds should be aesthetically appealing. • Ability to FIT and fabricate complex structures from blueprints with minimal instruction. • Read and understand blueprints, specifications, and other data required to make a superior product. • Calculate and understand units of measure, including fractions and decimals. • Assemble precision parts and assemblies using templates, jigs, and fixtures. • Performs visual and dimensional checks on materials, assemblies, etc. Education Experience and Key Attributes: · High School Diploma or Equivalent · 3-4 Years Sheet Metal /Welding and Fabrication experience required · Must be able to acquire security clearances to work at governmental locations · Travel is minimum · Must be safe and organized to support a 6S culture. · Consistently, regularly and predictably be at work and on time. · Strong sense of urgency & attention to detail. · Drug test and background check will be required We are an equal opportunity employer.
