DBA TST ROOFING AND GLAZING (TSTRG) SUMMARY: TST Roofing has been providing great customer service and quality in commercial roofing in Virginia for close to a decade. We are leaders in the industry with a proven process for success. We are seeking a dependable and experienced Roofer/Roofing Skilled Laborer to join our team. This role involves assisting in the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems on commercial buildings. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, attention to safety, and the ability to work efficiently in various weather conditions. Our search is currently limited to qualified candidates living within the Hampton Roads commuting area. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: • MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN COMMERCIAL ROOFING. • Working knowledge of commercial/industrial roofing procedures and safety. • Assist Roofers and Foremen on commercial roofing projects. • Work includes the installation of new roofs and re-roof and/or repair of existing roofs in occupied buildings for all major roofing systems, including Modified Bitumen, Single-Ply & Metal. Knowledge of these systems is required for skilled roofers/sheet metal mechanics, and helpful but not required for laborers. • Ability to operate hand and power tools of all types as needed. • Ability to perform assigned tasks daily with strong attention to detail. • Must not be afraid of heights. • Ability to read and use a tape measure. • Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs., and have the ability for repeated bending, climbing, kneeling. • Must not be afraid of heights. • Must be able to work in a COLD or HOT environment. • Ability to work well with others. • Perform work in accordance with job specifications and safety guidelines. • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. • Maintain professional interaction with all customers. • Must reside within commuting distance of our main office in Virginia Beach, VA. • This is an in-person, on-site position. • NEED TO BE ABLE TO OBTAIN BASE ACCESS FOR ONGOING PROJECTS! POSITION SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE • Basic understanding of construction industry. • 1 year of basic construction labor. • 3 years commercial roofing knowledge for more skilled roofing positions • Basic knowledge and use of common hand tools required. • Must have a valid driver license and decent driving record. • Must be 18 years of age. • Must be punctual and reliable. • Must be organized and have an eye for detail. SALARY: • Negotiable – depending on experience • Paid Weekly on Fridays (Mon thru Sun Work Week) w/ paystubs emailed. Qualified Sheet Metal Fabricator The ideal candidate should have 5+ years of relevant experience working in a manufacturing environment. This position will require a highly energetic, fully engaged, forward thinking individual to work with various disciplines within the facility. Responsibilities to include: • Solid understanding of precision sheet metal, flat layouts, bend deductions and associated machine tooling. • Interpret Engineering drawings or sketches, fabricate parts, and assemble hardware in support of R&D programs in accordance with company quality initiatives. • Review work packages for producibility issues. Communicate with the internal customer as required to achieve end objectives. • Program, setup, and operation of CNC Press Brake, Punch Press and other precision Sheet Metal machinery for end-to-end fabrication with minimal supervision. • Perform in-process inspection to assure parts will meet customer requirements using precision measuring instruments. • Record and monitor duration and completion of work performed in accordance with the quality procedures. Stay current and proficient with all applicable quality processes associated with assigned work. • Participate in quality and continuous improvement programs. Requirements: Minimum 5 years experience in programming, setup, and operation of CNC Press Brakes, CNC Punch Press and other equipment to fabricate parts varying widely in application and complexity. • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. • Fabricating, fitting and assembling precision parts per sketches or drawings. • Experience installing threaded inserts and hardware into parts. • Excellent oral communications for interfacing with internal customers during the fabrication process. • Positive interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team-oriented atmosphere.
