Sheet Metal Support Technician

Looking for entry-level industrial warehouse workers, known as “support technicians”, to assist welders, fabricators, and/or electricians construct large housing enclosures for backup power generators. Must be career-oriented, hands-on, and reliable due to the company’s high pressure production schedule Requirements: • Ability to read a tape measure accurately to nearest 1/16th to 1/8th inch • Must be willing to cross-train in various departments • Prior experience in warehouse, construction, or job with outlined safety regulations Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Measuring and marking reference points to help in layouts for manufacturing or forming materials. • Cross training in different departments to assist workers engaging in forming and fabricating structural, steel or sheet metal products. • Lifts, positions, and removes work pieces from machines or designated areas to assist in fitting, installation or welding parts and components. • Paints in process materials and finished products using rollers and brushes. • Installs insulation in the interior of enclosures, bases, or tanks as necessary. • Loads, stacks, and transports materials, tools, and work pieces to prepare movement by crane, forklift, or other equipment 90-day contract-to-hire: After 90 days of being trained, based on your performance and attendance, the client can opt to hire you on full-time, which does offer advancement opportunities with position and pay (including benefits and exclusive in-house training to be certified in a trade.)
